Happy Ground Hog Day!

Puxatony Phil will hopefully not have a shadow...
the end of our driveway this morning...
3 inches of ice and 3 inches of snow...
just think if that would have all been snow...
that could have been 20-24 inches of snow or more!...
my sympathies to all you getting it all in snow...
look at all the little limbs down...
not sure how many we will lose...
winds today may bring down more...
and some we won't know about until it all melts off...
limbs are touching the ground everywhere...
and I might lose my rose of sharon...
DH started off for work but didn't get too far when they called here and said he might as well stay home...
everyone else had called in...
so I called him and he turned around and came back home...
it is blowing in the country some...
these holes are where the ice sickles are falling off of the power lines...
so all of you snowed in today...
here is the perfect read...
on sale at Amazon for less than $7...
isn't this little cup cake just the cutest thing?...
so another thing to do today if you can't get out and have a house full of kids or grandkids...
just talked to Rebecca and they still don't have their power back on...
she is on her way to work...
I know, crazy girl...
she's got about 20 miles to get there and most of it is out in the open...
if she can get there, she can always crash at her parents' house...
they live right there where she works...
the guys are going to have to chisel off the porch today...
the footprints froze from yesterday and last night...
DH almost turned his ankle this morning...
I am sure there will be more photos...
Have a good day!

So relieved to hear that you didn't lose power! Your poor trees, that's ALOT of ice! Not sure how much snow we've gotten so far, but it's till coming down! At least the wind died down. I could barely get the back door open this morning to let Emily out, so it looks like I need to get busy and do some shoveling! Hubby is out of town all week for work, of all times! I'll go out later and take some photos to post. Keep safe and warm!

Luckily our ice melted before the high winds came. We had quite a few trees laying over and I thought for sure they would be history today, but so far so good. I love all your ice photos. Did you get your computer/blogger problem fixed?

Oh Tete...I would rather have all our snow than all that ice that you got! What a mess! I hope you don't lose too many shrubs.
So glad Phil didn't see his shadow. I don't mind snow, but am ready for spring.

LOve the trees photos. Especially the second one. We did got snow but not as much we did in Dec. I live near the city and lake. My old town got more snow than we did. It was snowing and blowing all day. Clear every now and then.
You stay warm.
