update on dad...

they moved him to isolation...
mainly because all the infection is draining from his system due to the antibiotics...
they put a catheter in because his bladder wasn't dumping...
my step mom said no to all surgery or biopsies...
he is going back to the nursing home on Tuesday...
they have no idea how long he will be here...
not knowing what the mass is...
that he will get medical attention until they call in hospice...
his blood sugar is all over the place...
and his only complaint is his legs...
my brother would not return her phone calls...
so she isn't calling him anymore...
he lives right there...
pray for his soul...
because you reap what you sow...
Paula is holding her own but I don't know how much longer she can do it...
she's tough and she's determined...
but you can only be so tough...
for so long...
keep her in your prayers until they can get dad back in the nursing home...
once they get him back there, she will go home and try to get back to normal...
checking on him daily, but not staying 24 hours...
pray for my dad to have an easy passing...
he doesn't know what's happening...
can't comprehend the depth of it...
pray that it isn't a long, drawn out affair...
for both of them...
I'm praying that he just goes in his sleep...
but they don't know if it will be days, weeks, months...
you never know with my dad...
he rallies like none other...
and he has suffered a long, long time...
he would be happier on the other side...
the greatest blessing is that he doesn't know...
thank you, Lord, for that...

Oh, sweet friend, I am so sorry that he & all of you are going thru this. Yes, thank you Lord he isn't aware of his condition/circumstances.

We are borrowing lots of pictures from the internet & taking new ones daily. He was lucky to retrieve part of my 1,500 Love Is... pics today. This is SOOO frustrating.

Prayers for you all, love sent your way.
Hugs, Marydon

Dear Tete,
It must be hard on all of you. Make sure you take care of yourself too! It's so hard when we are miles apart from our loved one's. I never thought as a child growing up that one day, the time would come that I would no longer have my parents. They seemed to always be there. I pray that you all gather strenght as your dad. makes this final journey!

I am so sorry about your Dad, Tete! I've not been blogging much these past few days, so I was unaware of any of this. I will keep him in my prayers. I think one of the hardest things has got to be losing a parent. My Dad passed away 6 years ago, and it was really devastating. Keeping your Dad, you and the rest of your family in my prayers. Sending you hugs, too.

All my prayers and hugs are with you precious Tete.
It truly is a blessing he does not know because you would naturally have fear which causes all kinds of changes with your system.
I PRAY HE HAS NO PAIN AND DOES NOT SUFFER.
Hugs to you Tete
