after we took photos of the tornado damage yesterday...
we headed for the square...
this building has not been in use for years....
I think it would make a cool antique shop...
or even a cooler home...
and on around the square...
the old dime store that I used to shop in has been closed a good 10 years or better...
there is now a fence around the outside...
DH said the building's roof may fall...
the old Presbyterian Church of the towns early years is no longer in use and sits empty...
where DH works...
this is the bean elevator...
we didn't go past the corn elevator...
not on his day off!
LOL
cars waiting to be loaded at the bean side...
and back to the square again...
next time we go up, we will pick a sunny day...
and I will show you some of the old victorian homes...
which are wonderful...
who have owners who have restored them or in the process of restoring them to their original beauty...
we are soggy here this morning with water standing in the side yard...
pics later after it lightens up a bit...
too dark yet for photos...
partly cloudy today with more rain tonight and tomorrow...
have a great day!

What a lovely old town, Tete- It is sad to see those wonderful old building abandonded, isn't it? We had a dime store where I grew up too...a thing of the past with Walmart, etc.
Your new header is very sweet and the song that is playing has such deep meaning for me...kinda gave my heart a "stop/go" for a moment when I heard it...haven't listened to it in years...think I needed to hear it this morning...just today...I needed to hear it...God works in mysterious ways, doesn't he...sometimes through a blogging friend~ xxoo Diana
That reminds me so much of Don's home town. Take care.
