a funny thing happened on the way to the landfill...

changed the living room around a little bit on Friday...

then we started out trimming trees again this morning...
and digging this pesky grass out of the front bed...
had 2 bunches of it come up in there again...

spider wart was buried alive in it...
but now it can breathe a little...

day lilies will be popping anytime...

the trimmings...

my radish bloomed!

on the way to the land fill with the limbs...

tractors are a major thing around here...

some older trade ins...
or maybe just waiting to be worked on...

and this is what I spotted at the land fill...

so this went to...

this in about 10 minutes...

got it done just before the rain came...
cone flowers are trying to open...

the asian lilies are looking good...

and then this happened...
wasn't supposed to get any rain this weekend...

but we ended up with 1.2 inches...
a good amount for the all the green things growing here...
and we did need it...
DH and I sat on the deck awhile until it started blowing in on us...
then we came in, grabbed something to munch on and took a nap...
we had supper when we got up and then took off for the dreaded Walmart run...
got 50 cent ice cream cones at Burger King on the way home...
;)
not a bad day at all...
hope your weekend is going well...
sleep tight!

It was a old summer rainy kind of day and even this am it is dark. It cooled off so we opened the windows last night. Good grab at the landfill!

Tete, You and your husband are too cute. Always finding something to re-do, or recycle..LOL I love it. We had a five minute rain yesterday , just cloudy enough that I did not get to see the moon. But I got up at 1:30 A.M. and went out on the porch to gaze at it.:):) Hope you are enjoying today. xoxo,Susie

When we had the 'dump' on the mountain, I loved digging around and finding usable things others had thrown away. Several builders dumped the stuff left from building sheds and houses, and I used to drag home more than I took. lol.
