as the sun sets on the prairie...

sitting here, right before bed, thinking...
I'm hungry...
;0)

just went out after supper was over and the dishes were done...
in a panic...
I had no photos of today!
Miss A, our neighbor girlie, wanted to walk Charlie...

and there is a tomato that is ripening...

and the beans are climbing the tomatoes...
?

but we sat in back a while and watched the shadows fall across the fields...

and I love how the sun lights up the elevator...

Miss A had a good time...
she is up for Miss Coles County...
and the fair time is fast approaching...

she had practice tonight for it, but when they got there...
since it was the last night of it...
they threw them a little party instead...

she is a talker...
and she has never met a stranger...
ever...

and she caught a lightening bug to show you...
;0)

there's the beans...

and she walked around the yard with me and talked and talked...
and she loved the hydrangea...
and she asked for one to give to her mama...
today is her birthday...
so we picked one for her...

and then her grandma called her home...
and the rest of the night has been pretty peaceful...
DH worked 12 hours and doing is again tomorrow...
so he was in bed right after this was taken...

isn't this weather just the berries?
I am so digging these cooler days and even cooler nights...
got long sleeves and socks on...
;0)
it was just a gorgeous day out there...
and in here with the windows open...
the blankets are piled up high...
and its awesome to snuggle in under them...
and poor Charlie has been sleeping under them, too...
I love the feeling of sinking into a bed...
and everything coming up around you to keep you warm...
I am thinking if winter was this green a lush and nice in the day time...
it wouldn't be such a bad season...
maybe we should take a vote and have that changed...
;0)
who's with me?

You have my vote on that! It's not the cold that I don't like it is that everything turns brown and gray. I vote for a green winter! Miss A is darling and I hope she wins the title! Sleep good under those covers!

That vote would win here.
She is a cute girl, and I hope she wins Miss Coles County, she seems really sweet.

Put me down for green, lush Winter months!! And I'd like to cast an absentee ballot for Miss A, too! What a sweet young lady.

Daphne would like Mr. Kitty. They could be twins. He is our very naughty kitty. Your photos are wonderful. Always fun in life isn't it? Love your cooler weather. It is wicked hot here. Have a great weekend.
