took a wee walk out to the island this evening...
to feed the birds, you know...
and there it was, staring me in the face...
the autumn clematis is starting to bloom...
so we checked the one across the street, too...
and yep, its already open on the north side...
this is the sweetest smelling thing around here...
Craig and I had done some work out here on Monday...
the bird feeders were hanging over the bed, and was there ever a mess...
so we worked and worked and cleaned and raked it all out...
but tonight...
there it was...
fall...
its happening...
the honeysuckle...
needs a major trim...
we are even talking about moving it...
but where?
that's only one year's growth!
we got some good rain here today...
it got so dark before noon...
thunder and all...
made for some good porch sittin' and nappin' time...
;)

We have early Clemitis, but never head of late Clemitis! Must look into that.
It's blooming, hu!
Yes, Autumn is knocking on the door. Ready or not as you say.
There will be hot days again, as soon as the kids go back to school. Which is Sept. 3rd.
But no doubt about it, Autumn will soon walk the land.
Gentle hugs,
Tessa~
Which (school) is Sept. 3rd HERE. I know different places, begin school at different times. That's just here.
