we woke to rain this morning...
we didn't get much...
.2 is all...
made it damp, though...
Mr Wiggles had trouble waking up...
it is our homecoming week here...
but we didn't have a way to get to the parade up town...
the truck has been down this week and we got it back this evening...
the shift solenoid went out in the transmission...
the part was $23...
but there is a towing bill and labor to go with it...
and Craig missed 3 days of work...
still cheap enough that we could handle...
they are still working on the new cell tower...
there is no way you could get me up there...
we are a dead zone here with the cell phones, so hoping this makes it better...
some of the corn is still green in spots, but they need to take off the end rows to get air in between the rows to dry them out...
DH has tomorrow off, but has to work on Sunday...
I do not have anything planned for him to do but just hang out and rest up...
I have the house work caught up and the laundry done...
the birds are gathering around here...
our football field last night...
we won!
homecoming dance is tonight and they crown the queen...
on one of our drives last week, DH asked me a simple question that I tried to answer...
he asked where has all the time gone?
he turned 60 this summer and the baby will be 30 in a few weeks...
we are older, our parents are all gone...
I just said...
we lived it...
we were so busy living our lives, we didn't see it slip away...
it just happened...
we still have a ways to go yet...
and this part we can take a little bit slower...
;0)
we do miss not having kids around...
no grandkids to do things with...
have a great weekend...
spend it wisely...
winter's coming!

Tete, Love that cat. Mr. Wiggles...makes me smile. :):) I would love a job like that tower thing. That has to be exciting. Ugly, but exciting. Your husband is a working man and life does just happened while we are living it everyday. One day you will he will be retired and wonder the same thing....for it seems the years go much faster. We just put another 250 into Ted's truck. The window would not go back up. Everything comes in those kits. It was called a window regulator . Blessings to all of you, xoxo,Susie
p.s. Tete since I finished the deck , yes it has rained since....dang I was planning on sitting out there all weekend. LOL
I loved all of your photos with your post. I was right there with you. And Mr. Wiggles...move over...that looks like the perfect resting spot..:) Hope your weekend is as wonderful as you are! Hugs!
Mr. Wiggles is so cute. - Rain is always nice when you need it.
Loving the shots of the corn. I too would not get up on that tower.
Yep time slips by so quickly. I'll be the big 60 next year and can hardly believe it.
Pretty photos! Love the pic of Mr. Wiggles. That's how I feel in the mornings. I don't want to get up!
