yet another late night ER run...

 

oh, what a time we are having here...

Doug's groin surgical site opened up about an inch...

and it was seeping yellow puss...

so around midnight, my guys heading for the ER again...

they cleaned it up and gave him antibiotics...

I have no idea how many miles they have logged now for ER and hospital runs...

but the gas bill has been through the roof...

Doug is up and walking, not going too far at a time...

the swelling in the leg is about half of what it was...

so, progress...

it was a day of blood work for one son and increasing his walking and PT...

the other son has his girlfriend from Canada here...

Jody flew in on the 17th...

she will be here for 3 weeks...

my house is full of kids...

the weather hit the 60s...

improvements in the spring activities in the yard...

and of course, yard work needs done asap...

he is doing so good now...

Doug went back to the er Thursday night...

there is another blood clot in the thigh...

the blood thinner they put him on isn't working on him...

putting him on another pill once a day...

and he will have to shoot another blood thinner twice a day for 6-12 months...

he is in surgery now...

waiting for a call from the surgeon...

DH is home with me...

there is nothing he can do here and we had no one to stay with me...

Craig has used up all his extra time...

keep praying for us all...

and while we are here in the hallway waiting...

we are praising His holy name...

God is good all the time...

this is going to take time...

 

the swelling in my son's leg is massive...

and it's just going to take some time to get it back to normal...

he is working on it...

moving, walking, elevated...

PT is supposed to get ahold of us...

to come here to work on him...

just waiting for the call...

in the meantime...

in His time...

and they did not get him up today...

but did move him to another room...

a step down from where he was at...

it went very well...

got all the blood clots...

our son was transported to a trauma center north of here late last night...

there is a large clot in his leg and multiple smaller ones in his lungs from the big clot...

they got him into a room about 3am...

surgery at 10am to remove the clot in the leg...

DH is there with him...

keep them in your prayers...

for our oldest son, Doug...

2 ER trips in the last week...

and another one today if things don't change fast...

remember him, please, when you kneel before the throne...

when to plant tips...

just a routine check up to make sure he is on track...

Craig ordered me a new phone...

my old one was about 7 years old...

I can answer it, but that's about all...

the technology has zoomed past me...

so will have to read the manual to get things done...

and loaded...

my friend is doing so much better now and can stay by herself during the day while her husband works...

my friend is waiting on the biopsy results...

they took a biopsy of the white matter in her brain...

going to check it layer by layer...

should have the results back tomorrow...

keep praying all is clear...

still in ICU...

still a little confused...

but has swelling from the biopsy...

and that will take some time to go down...

its not going to be a quick fix without God...

thank you so much for the prayers for our friends...

she had surgery yesterday, it was a success and she is in ICU...

out most of the day...

haven't heard any more today...

and have no idea what kind of surgery, but they were looking at a mass in her brain...

keep praying...

he is by her side...

any of us could be in that space they are in now...

some of us have been there before...

it's a scary place...

and it takes your energy so fast...

prayers get people through their storms here on earth...

and their faith in a God who loves us...
