I'm thinking bead board in here 2/3 of the way up...

but do I stay with yellow walls above or go pink?...

found the tulip and crocus bulbs that need planted this weekend...

there are 30 tulip and 20 crocus...

spring will be awesome!...

ta da- my new cheese crate light that I found on eBay...

it came this morning...

with rusty metal stars...

and a gauze ribbon...

the dreaded corner...

see, Debbie...

I have those, too...

this is after I moved out a pile of boxes and an old high chair...

my new chicken...

looks like he was shot with bird shot...

I still have more tweaking to do...

but the beginnings are good...

so far...

little over night suit case holds vintage paper dolls, post cards and valentines...

the lamp shade is crooked and the table needs washed off again...

so don't look so close...

hahahaha...

the bottom of the mantel holds the cat's food dishes...

no more stubbing my toes on them and sending cat food half way across the kitchen or tipping the water bowl...

and the top of the desk...

I am using my new tea cup for a place to put my reading glasses...

I get so tired of trying to find them all the time...

and yes, some of the time, they are on top of my head...

well, girls, this wore me out and I did take Nyquil to get through it...

so maybe, I should take a nap and dream of spring days...

my mother had taken me to get my picture done...

she always had photos taken until I started school...

Potato soup this weekend!

she has got this great idea for a new twist on the old fashioned potato soup...

hearty and sure to warm you up this weekend...

I'm going to be doing my granny's version...

just potatoes and milk with black pepper...

along with grilled ham sandwiches...

but I am going to keep her new twist on the old favorite to try out later this winter...

Sunny and nippy...

another fall day...

one that bites your little nose and the tips of your ears...

high of 42 and a low tonight of 23...

we got 50 tulips bulbs to get in the ground this weekend...

if we can get holes dug...

and 30 new crocus that will smile at me in the early spring...

that's 5 months away...

oh, does that stink or what?...

still at 2 inches of rain since Aug 1st...

it's gotta start raining sometime...

we got a trace yesterday...

couldn't even measure it...

but we did get the rainbow...

Craig got me up at 3am with a severe sinus headache...

been taking Zyrtec...

dried it up real good...

too good...

it was all stuck up in there and he hurt so bad...

hot packs and massages...

push fluids...

it finally went away, but he missed his classes today...

he's nappin' again on the couch...

we have been up and down all day...

hope we can sleep tonight...

that should do for my rantings for today...

big plans for the weekend...

taking back the kitchen from all the junk that just appeared out of no where...
