back to the 90s here...

didn't get to sleep until after 2:30 this morning...

made for a short night...

but back out at it this morning...

pickets waiting to be made into another fence section...

not feeling so well this morning...

so we didn't do as much as normal...

thinking about just going back to bed for a bit...

and see if that doesn't help some...

it was a beautiful morning, though...

grass needs mowed over here again...

been spending a lot of time digging these broad leaves out of the yard and gardens...

rose of sharon is holding her own...

still have some blossom rot on some of the tomatoes...

shadows are everywhere in the mornings and evenings...

thought this was great...

love things that make you think or ground you...

this one did both for me this morning...

beginning to warm up again...

just another morning doing what I love to do...

play in the dirt...

this morning was out in front along the sidewalk...

the iris looked scorched on the ends and so much dead inside...

so we started trimming it up and pulling out the dead...

called the mower guy and he will be here this weekend...

saved a small fortune on mowing this summer...

but I would rather have the green...

there are still brown patched here and there, but they are getting smaller every day...

there's the finished product...

minus sweeping up...

peonies have come out of their funk...

they were looking pretty sad there for awhile...

now if God keeps sending us bits of showers here and there to keep it this way...

words for thought...

a little morning shower...

makes weeds easier to pull...

we are back to our morning ritual...

starting the day out here...

our days have been from 79- 83...

the nights and mornings a bit cool...

I garden in my jammies and sweater...

work until lunch time...

come in and eat, blog and then grab a shower and get dressed...

there's a pretty blue sky today with fluffy white clouds...

one of the areas I worked on this morning...

and some words of wisdom...

both are so true and so important to hear...

our weekend antics...

poor Bebe...

his momma dresses him funny...

its been a great 3 days with my guys...

but I did have a trouble maker here...

and he let me know that he wasn't happy with me at all...

leave one zip lock bag of bird seed on the table and he thinks he owns it...

chewed 2 holes in it to get to the seed...

and you can see his cheeks are full as can be...

I left him some in a shallow dish...

still lovin' the front...

I hope I don't get tired of this any time soon...

and all the babies followed us around while we have been working...

its not there now...

weeds and a bean field...

they still look bad but there are some pods there now with beans...

DH mowed this yesterday...

and today we pulled weeds, cut a few limbs and mowed off the lilies...

looks better for sure...

and the rose of sharon is still blooming...

just a bit of rain has helped everything out so much...

and we got a few sprinkles today...

not much, but we will take every bit sent our way...

the guys and I have had fun working together on things...

been a long time since we got to play out in the yard very much...
