I finally got out of town yesterday...

and it was wonderful!

the cows were so cute...
I love fuzzy faced cows...

if you talk to them, most of the time they will look at you...

it was a great, warm day...

and we have an even better day here today...
51F...

the snow is almost all gone!

feels like a spring thaw going on...

but we all know that its going to snow again before that happens...

just hoping that those crazy cold days are behind us...

getting ready to tile a field...
going to have to wait until it dries up a bit before they can start laying it...

hope your Monday is a good one so far...
I am about to grab some lunch here and then finish a book...
both guys are working and all the critters are asleep!
woo hoo for me!

still waiting it out...

we have a little bit more to go, but we are doing good here so far...

the power is still on and we are in and warm...

we had a sun dog here this morning...
the most amazing thing...
a complete rainbow circle around the sun...
with two bright spots, one on each side...
google them...
it was the talk of facebook this morning...

quit a bit of drifting and roads are all closed and impassable...
still, there are those who are totally stupid and out in it anyway...

that's a railing...

the scene through the back door...

they pulled the plows early last night...
and tried a bit this morning...
but until the winds die down...
and the wind chills get out of the -40s...
they can't do any good...
then you have the ones out there trying to get around...
when everyone is being told to stay put...
stuck in these temps...
I am sure by the time someone is able to get to them...
it will be too late for some...
some states have made it illegal to travel...
roads are completely blocked with stranded cars and trucks...
both of my guys stayed home today...
everything was closed...
we have until about 8pm for the winds and then they should start to settle...
these photos were taken during a calm period this morning, but it didn't last long and soon it was blowing again...
by Wednesday we could be in the low 40s...
that's about zero!
but another snow coming with that...
this winter is going to go down in history, that's for sure...
stay in, stay warm...
and if you are in the 40s or above already...
nah, nah, nah, nah- I can't hear you!
bwahahahahahaha!

the bad part is about to begin...

12 hours of snow= 10 inches on top of what we had...

it was so beautiful...

but now the winds are blowing roads shut...

roads and highways are closed...

they have pulled the plows off the roads...

we are to have wind chills of up to -40 through noon Tuesday...

pray that the power stays on for everyone...

and no one has to hit the er...

getting them there may be impossible...

pray for the homeless out in this...

and all the animals and birds...

Craig walked up town today and took these wonderful photos...

it was still in the 20s then...

I am so ready to see Wednesday dawning...

and I hope we don't have another one like this for a long, long time...

stay in, stay warm, stay safe...

know where your emergency warming shelters are...

and pray for others who have to go out in this...
God, keep us all safe...
;)

Meet Ion, that crazy winter jerk...

up to 8 inches now...
here are some photos from this morning until now...
still around 32, but the cold is coming fast...
so look around all you want...

stay warm...
stay safe...
and it you don't have this and can run around outside in short sleeves today...
pray for us idiots who live in the north!
have a great day...
all things cancelled here!
:)
