Oh, another day of kleenex and cold meds, but we are beginning to see the other side...

finally...

would you believe DH even called in sick this morning all by himself?

this man never calls in sick...

I have to make him...

he never did get too sick to his tummy, but I did...

and today I finally got to eat some real food...

and I have moved on to the hard stuff, too...

rootbeer!

its been 7up and water for days now...

countless boxes of kleenex, rolls of paper towels and toilet paper...

just how much snot can one person make???

if there's a record somewhere, I am here to claim the title...

I so hope none of you find this bug...

it has not been a very nice one at all...

thank you for all your kind words and prayers...

I will be around slowly to peek in on you...

it could be a few more days to be back to normal...

so much to do around here, too...

oh, how it does pile up!

going slowly and carefully...

do not want this coming back!

DH and I are still down with nasty colds...

hoping this is the last day of this...

not having a lot of fun at all...

but we have gotten plenty of sleep...

seems that's all we do...

;)

soaking up the sun...

DH and I are sick...

second day of this now...

Craig shared his cold...

spending most of our time in bed and blowing noses...

got all these shots from my kitchen window...

Craig is working today, so we are fending for ourselves...

going to try to get a shower...

have a fun weekend...

63F, imagine that...

the melting went on all day...

and the sun peaked through a couple of times...

but mostly it was like this...

and I sat here and watched the fog roll into the north part of the yard from the lake that kept growing in the field...

and as the wind blew, it left ripples in the pond...

that traveled between the rows of last year's cornstalks...

as tiny stalks of grass emerged from its blanket of white...

only to be quickly swallowed whole by the ever enlarging puddles...

I did venture out right before DH got home...

and by then, the sun had come out again...

and the mud and spent leaves were not as pretty as the cover of white it once had...

there was no where to step that didn't have either mud, standing water or both...

some of the standing water had a layer of ice under it yet...

but it was so good to be outside...

with the sun hitting my face again...

the storms came through, followed by high winds...

but we are ok...

missed the worst of it...

just more heavy rain...

and there is the one who never seems to sleep...

who waits for me to pick her up...

and loves to cuddle already...

she will be a special friend for someone...

she was born with an old soul...

and I have been making more of these...

and I love this verse...

telling me its going to have some bumps...

but He who watches over me...

takes care of me...

loves me...

has it already conquered...

and just knowing that, gives me peace...

as we slide back into winter...

and all things slippery...

whacky weather and fun stuff...

I love reflections that float on the surface of water...

and rain drops...

we have had thunder through the night and this morning...

and melting...

lots of melting going on...

and there is even some green to the grass today...

but there is still plenty of ice and snow left...

and I am not sure if it will all melt before the warm weather disappears again...

back to the frozen 20s we will go...

kicking and screaming, I am sure...

but it won't matter...

mother nature has her own agenda...

and a nasty case of PMS this year...

so taking this time to plan and plot...

when spring really comes...

babies are happy little campers...

and really starting to show their own personalities...

sorry, but the plastic is still on it and I have things that need moved around to put it up...

but I will post it again once it finds its home here...

it might be time for a whole rework of the space...

the sun just came out...

and my batteries in the camera are almost dead...

and Craig has the charger at his end of the house...

so not brave enough to go look for them...

so you will just have to take my word for it...

the sun is shining...

the rain has stopped for now...

the wind is blowing, though...

and will get worse later on and through the night...

but no tornadoes now!

that's always a good thing...
