this is just weird...

I think the autumn clematis has buds on it...
way too early...

I had to fill the feeders again tonight...
the birds just keep coming...

and in the far bed, I have a mum blooming...

up the street, under an old apple tree that is in a property line...

wild strawberries...
our strawberry season is over, but a long shot...
this is the second one...
unheard of!

87 today and then 89 tomorrow...
after that, back in the 70s...
and in the low 70s...
that just doesn't happen here...
so...
here is an official warning...
early fall...
and like 6 weeks early from what I see...
a wet one...
and winter will be breaking the door down before we know it...
get done what you need done outside...
stock up and stick back...
the winter is going to be a hard one...
I think we will have snow before November is out...
so there ya go...

just had the guy come and pick the keys up for the truck...
towing it in again...
changing the fuel pump and filter this time...
yeah, team!
;0)
crazy time for DH at work...
working 10 and 12 hour days and its not close to harvest yet...
dirty ground pile...
they are having to screen it all...

if we can just get the guys both to work with one vehicle this week...
DH has next week off for vacation...
(do I have plans for him, 'evil laugh here')...
we will get through this...
AGAIN!
;0)
so, with all that information...
try to have a good day, anyway...
and remember...
don't put things off, get it done...

another morning of wonderful yard work...

a friend sent these home with DH for me on Friday...
iris...
different than what I have...

so they went behind the island...
I tried planting last night, but it was so dry and hard as concrete...
so DH and watered and went back out this morning...

Craig talked more than he worked...

but got that done...

and he was still talking...

so I got some photos...

from the bird seed...

I was just waiting on him to wind down so we could move onto the next project...

digging day lilies for the friend who gave me the iris...

Craig dug them up and I cleaned them and trimmed them down...
got this bucket full by the time we got done...
and you can't even tell there are any missing!

and then we went onto the green beans...
it was picking time again, but there were only a handful of blooms...

so we pulled the plants as we picked...

the rose of sharon is in bloom!

I do want to get some more of these...

maybe try to get a start off of them...

or check the clearance sales...

we do the gardening as a family, most of the time...
and DH got the burn piled burnt this morning while we planted the iris...

the tomatoes are almost as tall as the fence...

we got a good mess again, but this is it...
got them cleaned and on now...

and the garden it raked and cleaned up, too...

DH and I did a mini store run after we had lunch...

and have just been goofing off since...

but I am seriously thinking that this girl needs a nap...

someone else has the same idea...

I knew there was a reason we get along so well...
we are so much alike...

I was up until after 4am this morning with a migraine...
but it finally went away and I am having a good day today...
hope yours was a good one, too...

thank you for all the prayers and nice words for Trevor and his family...
praying for those still on the waiting lists...
the man who gave me the iris was a special friend of his...
that's how I found out about him...
he was always asking for prayers about him...
;0)
could you imagine making that trip home from Nebraska to Ohio without your son?
could you imagine never being able to eat a thing your whole life, living on a feeding tube?
kind of puts all of our petty little problems into perspective, doesn't it?
the cross I have to bear isn't so big at all...
how about yours?

Donate Life...and tell them Trevor sent you...

Donate Life:
this is what a brave little boy's mom posted on facebook...

'Donate Life my son Trevor Dizzy Coleman was born June 13 1997 he was born with Hirschprungs disease ( no cells in intestine to a absorb) and he had almost all of his intestine removed when he was a week old . After that he could only handle TPN ( IV nutrition) that stuff made my sons liver go bad . When he was one year old his liver started failing fast he needed a transplant right away , only a few places did offer intestinal transplants so April 8th 1999 Trev received his first liver , intestine transplant . It saved his life !!! :*) he was very sick after that and spent 6 months in ICU ! The road was long and rough but I'm so thankful that another parent chose the gift of life so my son could live ! I'm eternally greatful !!! My son and so many others live because of this gift of life ! Donate life '

'Donate Life ,,,, back in 2009 Trev got chickenpox his body responded badly to it , it caused an immune response and his intestine fused together . He started vomiting and not feeling well we had to fly back to Nebraska and they told me he was going to need another transplant . Being on TPN also made his liver fail again . We got here in June and he did not receive his 2nd transplant till September 23 and he only had weeks left to live ...... Some kids never receive there organs believe me u don't need them when u die ! I've seen to many that don't make it because the organs never come Donate Life !!'

Trevor flew from Columbus to the Nebraska Medical Center on March 22nd and had been there since trying to fight the rejection of his donated organs.
Nebraska is where he got his transplants.

Today, Trevor met Jesus in person...

prayers for his family, friends and caretakers...
and the medical staff at both hospitals...
and remember to...
Donate Life
it gave this family 17 years him...
17 years they would not have had without the transplants...

after a morning out and about, here's the haul...

after seeing my old primary and a huge hug from him...
we went onto Walmart and then the Dollar General...
and I found these...
the smallest one was $1 and the largest was $4...
the middle ones, $2 and $3...
so, that's $10 for the whole set!
and fun way to organize!

and then I found these...
love them all...
we ate lunch at Burger King and then headed home...

stopped at Ninny's before we hit town and found a few tables full of 60% off stuff...
got the rooster and berry sprig...

and mini wreath...

and a tiny, cute pillow...
$13 for all of that...

came back to town and found 2 rummage sales...
$1...
silver lid for something...

and a crystal angel candle holder...
75 cents...

a tiny little silver angel blowing kisses...
25 cents...

and that's all there is to that...

I did find this at Walmart...
if you haven't tried these tea mixes, they are the best...
I tried a new flavor today and its just wonderful!

Doc and I had a great time this morning and I brought him up to speed...
doing a 24 hour pee test for the blood sugar...
going to do that on Monday, and Tuesday, Craig and I can take it back and eat out again...
;0)
told him about the lumpy boob thing and he was glad we were doing all the preventive measures there...
I just told him that I had been through too much and come too far to let a boob kill me now...
and he laughed!
just waiting to get into the dietitian to see what we can come up with there...
so, that was most of the day...
the rest included a nap, walk, supper, and a garbage bag of iris from a friend...
then we ate cantaloupe and I had a peach...
staying close to the bathroom tomorrow just in case...
both guys are working tomorrow, so will have a chance to rest up a bit and take it easy...
hope y'all have wonderful weekends, no matter what you end up doing...
we have a few things planned for Sunday, but you will have to stop back by to find out what!
;0)
prayers for you all...

July doesn't get any better than this...

high of 78 today...
overnight low was 59...

just good days this week to be out and have the windows open...

gotsa little problem starting out on the deck...
its 10 pm, so while posting this, I just had Craig take the broom out and knock it down...
they do not fly at night...
its down and he ran for the door...
not going back out there tonight just in case they are as mad as hornets, even though they are wasps...

the cats are really loving this cooler weather, too...
Lester was very good about a photo shoot today...

he looks totally bored...

but he was really just keeping an eye on Hermie...

Daphne...

Mr Wiggles...
all hanging with mom and Charlie...

but there's always one that wants to be different...
Hermie likes hanging with the birds...
even though they don't like it one bit...

and here is a throw back Thursday photo for you...
taken in '87...
DH, Craig and Doug...
my guys...
we were putting up the Christmas tree that year...
their job was to assemble the tree and put the lights on it...
they were done...
then it was my turn to put the ornaments on...
they were so proud of themselves...

got my doctor's appointment in the morning at 9 to check in with my favorite primary...
then a Walmart stop...
going to be a busy morning, but back home in time for lunch...
bringing home a whopper this time, too...
so have a good weekend...
;0)
