muggy & buggy...

that was the weather forecast for yesterday...

and probably the rest of the summer...

because summer has finally arrived...

going from 60s & 70s to heat indexes is not for wimps...

and I am a WIMP...

but we did venture out in the morning hours for a photo shoot...

this cemetery is called Pleasant Grove...

and there used to be a church and an old country school here too...

but they have been gone for many years now...

located in a place called Nip 'n Tuck...

that's the back end of a pretty big buck...

he had a nice rack on him...

look how broad he is in the back end...

not a lot went on over the weekend...

kind of boring compared to the last few weeks...

we did do the fish fry and got the yard mowed...

but that was about it outside...

we did get the house work caught up and the laundry is done until the next time...

I fell in love with this place...

that's not the house on the property...

just a boat house...

or maybe a guest house...

or a crafting house...

but they are there together...

casting images onto the surface of the water...

I put this on the desktop...

love it..

I hope your weekend was grand...

muggy & boggy or not...

we only have so many of them before the snow flies again...

so enjoy them while you have them...

forecasting some bad weather this afternoon and evening...

hail, winds, tornadoes...

heat advisory?

NO...

not ready for that...

be careful if you have had a lot of rain...

high winds and saturated ground uproots trees pretty easily...

mist in the morning, mist in the evening...

I was up very early yesterday morning...

and as I was doing my post on here, I looked out the window...

grabbed my camera and headed out after I had posted...

you can see the mist hanging in the air...

it hung over the top of the corn and blurred the sunrise...

those blue skies didn't last long...

and the day was cloud covered and rainy again...

only to break again at sunset...

as the mist returned...

I am not sure what is thicker...

the air or the bugs...

we went to the fish fry and got our dinners to go...

was not feeling so good by the time we got there...

and there were storms coming...

but we did get some cleaning done and the mower guy showed up in the afternoon...

so the yard looks nice again...

rain scheduled again for the day...

and getting warmer as the week goes on...

not ready for 90s and humidity...

but we need the heat to dry this up...

the sun finally made an appearance...

it popped out yesterday after another dreary morning of clouds and fog...

and it looks like its going to be sunny for a bit this morning...

 but they are saying more rain today...

there's a low mist out there now, with a red tinted horizon...

red in morning, sailor's warning...

but it was nice to drive in the sunshine...

if the bugs weren't so bad, it would be perfect...

they just sit our there waiting for me...

I know it...

when I was a kid, this was a common sight...

a chair under an apple tree, next to a garden...

the old man and I mowed our part last night and the mower guy should show up today...

maybe with pontoons on...

need to clean inside as well as weed, so either way, we will have something to do...

tonight is the Chamber's annual Jonah Fish Fry at the lake park...

so that's what we are doing for supper...

its all you can eat, but last year we could find a seat, so had to get it to go...

will see what happens this year...

with the bugs, it might be better to get it to go...

surgery is next Wednesday afternoon...

the horses have fly masks on...

the bugs are terrible here with all the rain we've had the past month...

a very wide patch of brown eyed susans...

saw the surgeon and was having a very good morning...

not sick at all...

it is a thingy but not cancer...

there is a sack in the hair folical that is filling...

and it can get bigger and it can turn into a boil...

or it could stay the same the rest of my life...

I opted to have it removed because of where it is, on the spine...

this will be done in his office with a local...

not a really big deal...

the guys are relieved its not cancer...

I am, too...

then onto the next doctor later this month...

we shopped and ate lunch, then went to goodwill...

found some fun things...

but it almost happened...

they let me use their bathroom...

and a good thing...

I would not have made it to another place to find one or made it home...

then I got sick just like that...

spent a miserable afternoon in bed...

but its all better, here early in the morning...

I am hoping when the sun comes up here soon...

that the sun is shining...

got a home alone day...

might just use it to catch up on my sleep...

today's the day...

later this morning, I see my surgeon to see what to do with this lump...

ready to get this first meeting over with so we know what's going on...

took a drive last night before supper...

the ears are making...

and the corn is tasseling...

some of the beans look good...

there's a little yellowing in there...

but some do not...

just too much rain...

but it makes for good fishing on the dam...

couldn't find the cows...

not sure if they were moved or taken to the sale barn...

the chicory is blooming everywhere...

rainy day with the high in the 60s yesterday...

so unreal...

but that's the last of the cooler days...

90s by the weekend...

loved wearing a sweat shirt today and even turned the heat on in the van while riding around...
