our local golf course had visitors...

we went for a drive the other night and just caught these 2 out of the corner of my eye...

we had already passed and I didn't want DH to back up...

so these are the best I could do from that distance...

they were playful and having a really good time...

it was very nippy out that day, too...

but the wind was still and water photos were amazing...

we used to play this course almost every morning after the kids were off to school...

and with Craig between us before that...

we still have our clubs...

I can never play again...

but I might just take a ride around the holes sometime this year...

with my camera...

FINALLY!

the temps are going up and the rain is no where in sight...

its time to get some garden time in...

(Craig was looking at greenhouses online yesterday)

he wants to put one in...

our yard...

it started out as any normal morning...

my friend and I were doing breakfast at the local eatery...

but that soon changed when a burgler slipped in unnoticed...

totally sending everyone scrambling for cover...

I watched from a safe distance...

as this desperado began his assault on the goods...

I reached in my feathers...

good thing I had my cell phone in there...

I immediately dialed 911...

"Hello, 911?  I would like to report a burglary in progress."

they dispatched Officer Craig to the scene...

and he quickly chased the bad guys away...

this is being used in the wanted poster that they are circulating around our area...

if you have any information regarding the whereabouts of our burgler or his accomplices...

please alert the local authorities...

* UPDATE *

steps have been taken to ensure that this does not happen again...

the S hook has been booby trapped and seems to be working just fine..

the all you can eat buffet is open and back in business...

the culprits are still at large...

so pretty...

but can be so mean and territorial...

nice sunny day here...

but the high was only 40...

played inside and made a pot of chili...

the weather has been all over the place today...

we have had sun...

bright and shiny sun shine...

and we have had cloudy...

we had a bit of rain...

and even some sleet...

there was calm...

and there was wind...

and then there were these guys...

who faired the weather, come what may...

to scramble around and find a meal here and there...

what one would toss away...

another was under them to grab what they could...

until all were well fed and took off for the night...

but they will return tomorrow...

and do it all over again...

we have a mama in labor here...

delivered 3 already and we are waiting up for the rest of them...

a calico, a dark gray tiger, and a light gray tiger so far...

after we catch up on our sleep...

looks to be an all nighter...

spring is being so cruel...

the seven day forecast is saying...

nothing above the low 50s...

and some nights in the 20s, still...

so here I sit until it warms up some more...

and watch from the inside...

the 50s wouldn't be so bad with full sun and no wind...

but our winds have been unyielding...

and chilling to the bone...

looks are so deceiving...

I have so many things I want to start on...

little things...

details...

oh, well...

stuck cleaning house for another week...

at least we don't have snow...

van goes in for an oil change and I am getting my hair cut this afternoon...

eggs were delivered yesterday morning...

and I have ordered a stool online for the kitchen and Craig will bring it home on Thursday...

and that should finish out my week...

nothing terribly exciting...

but it gets me by...
