citywide rummage sales and an adoption...

found a couch at the citywide this morning...

had to cover it right away cuz all the furbabies were ready to try it out...

and a new lamp...

an assortment of linens and baskets, too...

we did good...

and this one is officially ours...

the adoption went through and he is all ours...

here forever...

and he is awesome...

got some more plans for tomorrow...

hopefully outside...

we got almost 4 inches of rain on Friday with lots of lightning...

and then the clouds rolled out today leaving sticky, hot, yucky temps...

so we stayed inside...

heading out there in the morning, if its not raining again...

starting the fall clean up...

its that time, or will be...

have good days...

wasn't it just spring with all the new buds and bright green growth popping out of the ground?

and here it is, the end of August...

the old man now has 4 days off...

so we are going to start in on cleaning up the yard for fall...

and I will be pulling fading plants and dumping pots...

raking leaves...

and soaking up all the outside I can...

while dodging bugs and playing with the doggies...

Chumley is doing great here...

and we are going to have so much fun with him and Charlie...

our city wide rummage sale is this weekend, too...

hoping I can get out a bit for that...

you never know what you will find...

have a fun, safe weekend...

prayers for the Indiana folks who were hit by the tornadoes yesterday...

yesterday's amazing sky...

we had a high of 77 yesterday...

a wonderful day for a drive...

and the windows were opened for the first time in a long time...

sitting here wrapped up in a blanket and sweater...

its 56 this morning...

not bad for August!

got the first load of laundry going...

 got lots to clean up and straighten up around here...

it is almost official...

"Oreo" who we have renamed...

Chumley...

is staying...

he is ours...

adoption papers will be signed this week and they take a photo to post online...

and it will be official...

we love him so much!

and Charlie has his brother back...

there's a new guy...

we are fostering Charlie's brother, Oreo...

the rescue where Charlie came from got ahold of me and asked if we would foster him...

he was back in the system...

found by a very nice young woman and she took him to a vet...

he was so matted and hadn't been taken care of ...

but thanks to the micro chip the rescue put in...

they got him back where he belonged...

I need help with a new name...

(YEAH, we're in love with him already)

and Charlie likes him, too...
