busy day yesterday...

made a trip to the pumpkin patch...

on our way to take Doug a used washer and dryer set that I was able to get through facebook from here in town..

and I love this concrete jack o lantern that they made...

had to have it...

I have seen them on facebook...

you pour concrete into a trick or treat bucket and let it set 24 hours...

cut off the plastic bucket and there you go...

will last for years and years!

I did get very car sick yesterday running to town and back...

but I did get out just a bit before the sun went down...

and Craig hauled the ferns up on the deck as we were watering...

for protection...

got some cooler nights now...

so far, just down in the 40s....

but the other is coming...

DH worked yesterday, but had today off...

everyone is cutting beans right now, so they didn't have too many hauling in food grade corn...

that will come in in the next couple of weeks...

I was goofing off online and found all these vintage photos of vintage Halloween costumes...

pretty spooky...

nothing like we have now...

some of the masks were really scary...

like these...

and some, not so bad...

and a few cute ones...

new mums and pumpkins...

found these 2 at Walmart last Saturday...

love the by-color...

and these 2 faux pumpkins for $1.99 each at GW Boutique...

they were from Hobby Lobby...

stickers were still on the bottom...

they are pretty big, and look real enough for me...

DH was even impressed...

now, I don't have to buy real ones every year...

yeah, right...

Tuesday prayers...

good morning from the prairie...

I have a prayer request this morning for a young lady of 44...

her name is Michelle and yesterday they found spots in her throat on the petscan...

she fought cancer 2 years ago...

but now its back...

she can not have anymore radiation in the throat...

she is my niece's friend...

and she's scared...

they're both scared...

Michelle needs angels of healing and they both could use angels of peace...

knowledge to her doctors and the staff that will be taking care of her...

and Michelle's parents could use some uplifting, too...

Michelle has CP and lives with them...

so any prayer you can say would help them on their journey and this next adventure...

have good days...

Harvest took the weekend off...

and so did DH...

so we went shopping and ate out on Saturday....

and mowed and did laundry on Sunday...

and we took a drive...

we have a blue heron in the area, have no idea why...

we are about as landlocked as you can get...

been here to several years now...

the rains kept the farmers out of the field...

and the old man got to take some days off...

kind of weird having the elevators closed on a weekend in the middle of harvest...

even got to GW Boutique(Goodwill)!

but that's another post...

today is Craig's birthday...

said something about French toast for supper...

will see what he wants when he gets home...
