hello, winter...

it has returned...

but that's ok...

DH and I ran to the doctor this afternoon...

and brought supper home from Wendy's...

test results were good...

a couple things were a little high, but will work on them...

and test again in 3 months...

he was impressed with my blood sugar numbers...

that I had dropped them on my own without medication...

so all went well...

and the more normal winter weather is back...

not looking forward to going out in it...

but I hide inside most of the time anyway...

;o)

colder now...

39 today...

farmers rip out hedge rows for more planting area...

they gain in yield, but lose those roots that hold the topsoil in...

going into the state park...

pines are not common here and are only where they have been planted by man...

boat launch...

not doing much today...

laundry, lunch, picking up here and there...

made the bed...

another trip to the doctor tomorrow to talk about my lab results...

won't give them to me over the phone...

Steve's came back fine...

mine will show my blood sugar is up...

der...

we know that...

that's why I go...

another trip makes them more money...

yeah...

I supposed they need to eat, too...

but geez, we were just there Monday...

and we have this patient portal where we can talk to the doctors and nurses...

they could post it there and call in a script...

but, this will give me a mid week shot at a whopper...

so its good...

another wonderful weekend here...

it was just like spring...

such a nice break from the cold...

we haven't had all that much rain...

but what we did have...

would have made a lot of snow...

prayers to those in the south in the paths of all those storms that went through...

got the phone repairman coming back today...

he was here Friday and thought he had it fixed...

then the auction guy is coming back to take the things we have piled up off to sell...

light housekeeping and doing as little as possible!

spring?

its sure felt like it!

the boys loved being outside yesterday...

it got up to 64!

we had to be at the clinic to do bloodwork yesterday morning...

we were there when they opened at 7...

ate breakfast after and did some shopping...

we were home by 9...

cleaned off the deck after lunch and got the guys out for a walk...

we took a drive, too...

out through the country...

and into the state park just north of here...

it's a nice winter break...

back to our normal winter temps on Thursday...

slowly cooling down the next few days...

I hate to say it...

but I am not ready for spring...

now, before you boo me out of here...

let me explain...

I realized that I need some more down time...

after the last 3 months of go, go, go...

I do need a little time to just do nothing...

because the yard is going to be a major thing to get cleaned up this spring...

that winter not only lets the earth rest...

its lets us old farts take a breather, too...

and y'all know I'm an old fart...

;o)

the day of sunshine and warmth and being out there...

did this girl some good...

I am looking forward to a week of down time...

just basic needs type stuff going on...

no more closets to organize...

no washing walls...

just normal day to day stuff...

and maybe so fun stuff in the playroom!

love the coffee tins and the lids fit tight...

great for the kids...

a very rainy night and day here...

have to fast tonight for blood work first thing in the morning...

for both of us...

then we are doing breakfast!

tummy is not good at all this evening...

hoping its ok by morning...

we want to hit Walmart and grab a few things at Kroger before coming back home...

phone repairman here today...

phone still not working right this evening, so put another call in...

will be coming in the next 3 days...

Craig heads back to work tomorrow...

going to be hard on him...

its been a great week off!

so much done...

doggies got their baths today and Chumley was groomed...

they look and feel so good...

Charlie had his grooming a couple of days ago...

got a new president in today...

praying for a better nation...

and not the one where people riot to get their way...

its just wrong...

protesting is one thing...

what they are doing is not protesting...

its criminal behavior...

and needs to be stopped...
