another sunny day...

not feeling very well today...Craig brought a flu bug home last week and spent most of the night in the bathroom...
didn't feel human again until this afternoon...
so I got my shower...and spent almost an hour in the swing...
watching the cats play...listening to the birds...
letting the sun shine soak in...and then there were these nice gentle breezes every now and then...
it was a wonderful afternoon to recover...
didn't get a lot done on the house work...but it will be there tomorrow...
and so will the swing...
if I'm not quite up to it yet...
wink-wink...
have a wonderfully simple evening...

a little sun goes a long way...

star lights that I found in an ad online and Rebecca picked up for me...they will go around the deck...
she also delivered the "green house"...
the grass is greening up quickly and it won't be long until Jim is back to mow for us...
my new favorite place to sit in the yard...not sure where this will end up going...
windows were opened today for the first time and I had to wear a hoody most of the day...but the fresh air was wonderful...
and just a note about my dad...they are moving him to a nursing home tomorrow...
another curve in his path...its one day at a time now...

I have yet to call to check on dad today...
just waiting to call later so I can find out all that happened today...
I got to talk to him yesterday afternoon...
he was tired and couldn't talk long...
he has had a stroke in the last couple of weeks...
they were about to give him blood...not enough blood cells in his to carry oxygen...
and a severe staff infection in the bladder/kidneys...
antibiotics had cleared the blood out of the urine...
it was clear and not even clouded yesterday...
they are giving him a fast insulin and it is not keeping his blood sugar down enough...
he needs a slow working one...
my step mom is staying with him 24 hours...

keep them in your prayers...

Dad now has a staff infection and his urine is at least 70% blood.
They have changed the antibiotics.
His blood sugar is still over 400.
He pulled his IV out last night, again.
The kidneys are working better than they were.
The only things that count in life are the imprints of love we leave behind us after we are gone.
