while I was bird watching...

you know I love watching the birds who come to the feeder every day...

but there are those around here who are uninterested in it...

but take full advantage of the deck and all the cozy places to nap...

and I still love the views out in the yard...

but its like night and day compared to the deck...

the yard is so full of activity...

and the deck...

totally lacking...

well, except for the snoring...

;)

another wonderful day outside...

well, been working my butt off...

tulips are not blooming yet...

today we started on the deck, and Craig did almost all of the work...

the big boys are back...

they kind of take over the feeder and the area around it...

but we are functional here again...

at least we have a place to sit outside...

and the longer the day went, the cloudier it got...

it could rain anytime now...

we need it pretty bad...

such hard work for an old dog...

everyone seems to like the warmer weather...

still have cough...

stuff in my chest and throat...

head is clear...

sore and stiff...

been down too many weeks...

gotta work harder at this...

hope you are getting warmer weather and pretty bloomers...

in the meantime, we have spring...

it sure has been a rough last few months around here...

and we're not completely over whatever it is that we caught...

but there is light at the end of the tunnel...

and while we were down in bed...

spring happened sometime last week...

at least we didn't miss it completely...

DH started back to work today, not sure if that was a good idea or not...

I am still so weak and sore...

I puttered in the kitchen some this morning, but it just wore me out...

I want to thank you all for every kind word and prayer...

sometimes there are just days when you wonder why God keeps you here at all...

and this last week, I have battled the devil left and right...

mostly over the internet...

I was ready to just walk away from all of it...

but that's what he wants....

isn't it?

that sucker really kicked me when I was down...

made me feel sorry for myself and angry much of the time...

like we didn't matter to anyone at all...

not one helping hand came along...

even though all three of us were down...

but, we didn't need them...

all we needed was God anyway...

he never failed us...

as long as one of us could open a tin can, we ate...

we helped each other up...

with meds and showers...

I am not normally a whiner...

just not my style, but this past week, boy...

did I whine...

I complained...

then I got mad...

after I figured out who I had let in and let have full run of the place...

I still have a hard recovery to go here...

but it's going to be a lot easier without outside interference...

and as soon as I can, I will be around to see you all...

taking it slow...

but trying to get back into the groove, one step at a time...

one day at a time...

if you have a black cloud hanging over you...

send him packing...

life's too short to let him stay too long...

you've got more important things to do than give him the time of day...

I need prayers for someone very special...

this is Mrs. P and her daughter, Mary...

Mary and I met in 4th grade...

and we have been friends ever since...

Mr. P passed away from cancer on Christmas our senior year...

I spent many a night over there...

and Mrs P would make the most awesome breakfasts...

Mary posted on facebook this morning that Mrs P is waiting for Jesus to come...

I need prayers for Mary...

she has taken care of her mom forever...

this is going to be so hard for her...

wanting so much for her mom to go...

but still wanting her to stay...

its just a hard place to be...

well, I took this a few days ago...

this is Rocky...

he is looking for his nuts he hid last fall...

well, we still got what we got...

DH is thinking he needs to go back to the doctor tomorrow if he doesn't start improving more...

I woke up 3 times last night completely soaked...

but by this time next week, this will all be behind us...

and its up to 59 here today...

but we are in here, laying around...

maybe I'll have Craig take me out for a bit...

or not...
