nothing went according to plan today...

ever have one of those days?

supposed to be an alone day...

and just as I was gearing up to do nothing...

someone pops his head in the door...

DH got sent home from work because of the rain...

and it wasn't letting up for some time...

so, home he came...

well, you know what I do with fresh meat just dying to work...

yep, we started in on a few projects here and there...

the entrance closet is cleaned out and the fridge...

fresh pizza for supper...

and ice cream this afternoon...

and then, I flared...

a little...

and it stopped...

then it started again and so its been going...

and a migraine trying to invade my brain cells...

UGH!

and just as the pizza was going in the oven, I got so sick to my stomach again!

and then when it came out, I got a message to rescue a kitten...

so off we went...

and she is adorable...

pictures are coming up real soon...

right after all these cool pepper shots...

and the coleus...

pepper blooms...

pretty...

and here she is...

super cute and loads of fun...

6-7 weeks old, very friendly...

healthy as can be...

which means one of two things...

she either got lost...

or someone dumped her...

I knew these "new" old linens would make a good back drop for baby photos...

I will hold her a week and then adopt her out if no one claims her...

I named her...

Daisy Mae...

just because she is so darned cute...

the mower guy came and got the yard mowed right before it got dark out...

he said he had heard we could get another 5-8 inches of rain through Monday...

there is no way the ground here can hold anymore and we could be floating by morning...

so we grabbed a bucket and headed for the bean patch...

if they get under water, they will rot and it will be done...

so we did picking number 3 right before it got too dark to see out there...

so green beans tomorrow...

well, this chick is pupt...

I need a quick shower, got bugs crawling in my jammies...

I think...

hate that feeling!

Update:

within ten minutes of posting Daisy Mae on facebook...

she found a forever home if no one claims her...

I will keep her here for a week...

making sure she can eat dry food and lap water well enough...

and is litter trained before she goes...

and its a very good home!

facebook is amazing for getting babies out there for people to see...

and better than going to the shelters...

and for me, small town living...

we know everyone, or know someone who does know them...

I've been buzzed for three days now...

and we're not talking a beer buzz, either...

tis a bean buzz...

and here is the buzzer...

and since he's up there, I stay in here...

not sure what they are spraying, but it can't be good for me...

windows closed and hiding out...

DH got these outside photos tonight while I napped off a migraine that was starting...

its come back, but not too bad yet...

taking meds and heading for bed soon...

Mr Wiggles malfunctioned this morning and threw up a hair ball on the table...

so threw all of the table clothes, because I tend to layer things...

in the washer and then just grabbed this up and threw it on...

a twin size dust ruffle fits very well on a round table without any sewing at all...

and it looks pretty...

piddled on the deck a bit tonight...

its lightly, and I mean lightly...

sprinkling out...

after getting it all straightened up...

Charlie and I took a walk to the railroad and back...

the guys both work tomorrow, so Charlie and I get the day off...

nothing to do but play, read and nap...

laundry is caught up...

Craig did the kitchen tonight for me...

Goodwill and the Dollar Tree...

Craig has been wanting to take me shopping and to lunch...

so we took off for town today...

a different town than the usual Paris...

they have a new Goodwill store and its right next door to the Dollar Tree...

and I found a couple of pillows...

this one is zippered and the pillow inside is stuffed with feathers...

they look good together...

and I found a dust ruffle, because I like the material...

it will become something else soon...

all on sale today...

49 cents each for the pillows and $1.19 for the bed ruffle...

and I found 3 tops, long sleeve for fall and a sweater...

the tops were half off...

$1.74 each...

this is pale pink...

my favorite yellow color...

and a navy blue...

this also came with a short sleeve shell sweater that matched it...

it was full price...

$3.49...

I did good...

and this is what I found at the Dollar Tree...

puppy pads for Charlie...

a clothes line, because I am always using rope on things in the garden...

a pair of kitchen scissors for DH to take to work...

he needs them to cut the thread on the sewing machine...

it sews the top of the bags closed...

and a couple romance novels...

the one is set in Paris in the 1800s...

sounds promising...

we stopped at walmart...

but you know what Downy, dog food and paper towels look like...

so I didn't take a photo of that...

I got so sick while we were in town, that I opted out of Taco Bell and did a hamburger happy meal instead...

Craig grabbed KFC on the way out of town...

and there is a complaint coming here...

he got a 3 piece chicken tender dinner...

what a ripoff!

the pieces were smaller than a chicken nugget!

almost $6 for 3 bites of chicken...

and they wonder why their parking lot is empty most of the time anymore...

der...

we had a good time, but as the day went on...

the sicker I got...

not sure what is going on, but its not fun...

I had this a couple of weeks ago...

there is a bug that has been going around...

but surely I wouldn't have gotten it twice!

home alone the next couple of days...

it will give me time to get better!

time on the deck is never wasted time...

it was a very nice day yesterday...

nice enough to sit on the deck mid afternoon...

if everything is running right...

there should be music on here now...

its been way too long since I had a player on my blog...

but if you don't like it, it's located at the very top of the blog and you can turn it off...

this is what I see, paws and tummy...

its the cats' favorite place to be on the deck...

and if I get them watered...

the wave petunias look pretty good...

and then there's Charlie and his investigations...

we just sat on the deck and watched the birds...

they come and go and go and come...

and they eat all the time...

not unlike other members of this household...

Charlie likes watching the birds...

and he likes his new shirt...

I saw this the last time we were shopping and kept thinking about it...

went back to see if it was still there and it was...

and I got the football and a baseball for him...

along with a pirate rubber ducky for outside playtime...

see...

isn't that fun?

Bebe wore 0-3 months baby clothes...

but Charlie needs newborn or preemies...

he is so much smaller around the middle...

baby clothes?

yes, I buy my dog baby clothes...

SO much cheaper than doggie clothes and a lot cuter...

and they mostly have girl doggie clothes...

and my guy doesn't do pink...

and I have been getting him baby toys...

they are cheaper, too...

and super safe...

sewn on eyes and all that...

and some have rattles in them...

so they make noise...

and he loves them...

we had those fresh green beans for supper last night and will doing them again tonight...

you can never eat too many of them...

Craig wants to take me to town today...

not sure if that's happening or not...

just not in the mood...

but that could change...

depends on how I feel when I get up again...

and yes, I am up in the middle of the night again...

went to bed way too early...

an evening walk on the prairie...

these always make my mom smile...

and she stops and looks at each one as they open up...

and you know mom loves her flowers...

I am not allowed in the flower beds...

but I do sneak in them when she is not looking...

this would probably be a good place to pee on if mom would let me go that far...

she says it doesn't belong to us...

maybe I can pull dad over here sometime...

he's easier than mom on stuff like that...

mom was gone this afternoon...

to the doctor's again...

and I had to stay home alone...

well, I had a sister and some brothers to hang out with...

mom says this is what bunnies eat...

and we went all the way to the end of the street and saw the corn...

I don't see what the big deal is about that stuff...

like its not hard to find and it seems to be everywhere...

mom tied me up back here so she could pick green beans...

I watched and cheered her on every time a handful hit the bucket...

and that's what she brought into the house...

she put it on the table so I wouldn't get into it...

mom always brings me something home when she goes to the doctor...

I got a new shirt and 3 new toys...

one is for outside...

mom said everything is fine, but she will be going back in 3 months...

so maybe there will be more toys!

anyway, I am getting tired and need to nap before bedtime...

its hard waiting all that time by the door for mom to come home...
