autumn clematis...

this one is ours...

its been coming up across the street for years now...

and we are finally getting some in our yard...

it is the sweetest smelling bloomer...

there are 4 areas that we have now that are coming forth with it...

but this is the biggest grouping so far...

and the bees are busy collecting from it, getting ready for the winter months coming...

hanging out with my guy today...

washing the bedding and maybe doing something outside very early this morning...

have good days...

its so hot and humid!

not a chance of working outside today...

or getting good photos...

the lens kept steaming up on Craig...

and he wasn't wiping fast enough...

we were so late in planting them...

better luck next year...

the adoption was final last evening...

Charlie and Chumley will be here for a long, long time...

been working inside and had a major nap this afternoon...

DH has one more day off...

maybe outside tomorrow...

who knows...

citywide rummage sales and an adoption...

found a couch at the citywide this morning...

had to cover it right away cuz all the furbabies were ready to try it out...

and a new lamp...

an assortment of linens and baskets, too...

we did good...

and this one is officially ours...

the adoption went through and he is all ours...

here forever...

and he is awesome...

got some more plans for tomorrow...

hopefully outside...

we got almost 4 inches of rain on Friday with lots of lightning...

and then the clouds rolled out today leaving sticky, hot, yucky temps...

so we stayed inside...

heading out there in the morning, if its not raining again...

starting the fall clean up...

its that time, or will be...

have good days...

wasn't it just spring with all the new buds and bright green growth popping out of the ground?

and here it is, the end of August...

the old man now has 4 days off...

so we are going to start in on cleaning up the yard for fall...

and I will be pulling fading plants and dumping pots...

raking leaves...

and soaking up all the outside I can...

while dodging bugs and playing with the doggies...

Chumley is doing great here...

and we are going to have so much fun with him and Charlie...

our city wide rummage sale is this weekend, too...

hoping I can get out a bit for that...

you never know what you will find...

have a fun, safe weekend...

prayers for the Indiana folks who were hit by the tornadoes yesterday...
