finally, a good weekend to be outside...

even if there are dandelions and seed pods coming off of the trees by the billions...

my tulips are opening and I think we might have lost a few since last year...

probably squirrels...

a baby that will be transplanted soon...

as soon as I figure out where to put it...

but after lunch, I headed out and this is where I parked my butt...

my mother in law's lily of the valley have taken hold...

(they are pretty easy to grow)

and the fern are uncurling...

(one of my favorite things to watch happen)

taking the bricks out of the border...

so I can mow right up to the flower beds on this side...

we got up to 75...

and I was out in a tank top...

the wind was blowing hard, though...

and until all the seed pods come down...

we won't be able to stay ahead of things...

I know that new blower/vac/mulcher is going to come in handy for that...

;o)

I have been doing ensure since Friday...

and my energy is coming back...

I am able to do the daily things plus a little extra now...

come back tomorrow and I will take you on a quick trip around town...

now this is the sure sign of spring around here...

never leave the deck without them...

worked out here in the sunshine after lunch...

need to thin some things out when it warms up just a bit more...

bottom- annuals...

upper dirt section...

pavers to set the bench on so we don't have to move it to mow...

OR

I have several lilacs, azalea and forsythia to transplant...

but the dirt is worked up and the grass and weeds are gone...

kind of hard to tell we had 2 inches of rain, but the wind dries things out fast...

and wind we have..

there are lots of things going on here...

mower guy mowed Friday evening and then rolled the yard yesterday...

we are working on getting things caught up inside, too...

along with porch sitting...

I just didn't have the energy to get much done the last couple of weeks...

sedum...

now, DH is coming down with the same thing...

just doesn't feel good and tires out easily...

lilac blown by the wind...

and the winds are supposed to be 40-50 mph today...

so, we might not be out too much in that unless we work where we have a wind break...

and if DH is not up to it, we will just hang out...

next weekend looks like rain all weekend...

it will be a good time to get the grocery shopping done...

and more housework...

the last two evenings have looked like this...

the sun pops out as soon as it starts setting...

and brightens up the whole world...

it almost seems like its glowing...

all the colors are so intense...

but it only last for just minutes...

so last night, I grabbed my camera to catch it in its greatest moment...

it got cooler as the day went on, too...

but it should warm up again in no time...

and that snow they put in the forecast for last night/ this morning...

well, you'll just have to wait until I upload some photos and collect some data on that...

meanwhile, I am just looking forward to Saturday...

when we should have a sunny 74 degree day...

but no more rain...

peonies have shot up, too...

lilacs are filling out...

and beds are filling in...

the roses are looking pretty good after the rain...

the nights have been fairly warm for this time of year...

I am just not feeling up to snuff yet...

chest tightens up here and there...

cough is deeper...

nose is doing much better, though...

so maybe its all just moving down...

DH is still having rough days...

just not 100%...

and we are both dragging butt...

just not energy or gumption...

hope this is gone by the weekend...

just keep us in your prayers...

it nothing a little nod from Heaven won't fix!
