Hello...anybody out there?...

we haven't had any real rain now for so long...
the grass is a little brown...
my rose of sharon is still blooming up a storm...
the bird bath is really being used these last few days...
see the rainbow through the water mist?...
we just got everything watered and Georgie decided to lay in the mud...
Doofus has figured out what the hammock is for...
this is at the north end of the yard in the street...
this is where the street ends...
this is the very northern part of the yard...
and this huge ash tree has always been there...
it has the best and most peaceful shade of all the trees...
this is the dead end stop at the end of the street...
and the railroad ...
on the other side of the railroad the street continues...
for some unknown reason...
many years before we came here...
the city closed the street at the railroad...
the road used to go through....
but I like living at the end of a dead end street...
no through traffic...
which was perfect when the kids were small...
hand puppet...
bunny...
I was  bored...
just hanging out in the yard...
my son asked me if I was going to blog that..
I told him sure!...
there's nothing wrong with having a good time no matter where you are at...
my mom had a saying...
"You either find something to do, or I'll find it for you!"
that almost always meant work...
she wanted us to keep busy and use our imaginations...
and we did...
she also wanted time to clean the house and get the laundry done...
it worked out for both of us...
 she had a clean house...
I turned out a little weird, but creative...
have a fun day and play with the shadows...

Your pictures of your yard is very pretty. Looks like you have plenty of room for your cats to romp in thats for sure. I have also enjoyed your birdbath this summer like how it sits in that old chair, neat idea. Have a good day!!!!

We Do need the rain too, the weather here has been saying thunderstorms for the past 3 days, but Nothing..... The Heat is back on, I finally had to close up the windows yesterday, going out this morning to take the trash out, I could feel that Humidity climbing quickly & it was only 6:15 (I do have to set the alarm to get Me up that early) I know you have been up since Early Morning & I Love seeing the work of your wonderful Green Thumb ~ What a Beautiful color of Rose of Sharon, it seems just the Lavender Color around here~ Wishing You Rain Drops followed by Beautiful Rainbows...

Hi Sweetie...
I just had to pop over and see what you had Beyond the Garden Gate today. I so love to come and view the beauty. Rose of Sharon has always been one of my favorites. Moma has always had it in her garden. The blooms are so beautiful and it is so hearty.

Love the bird bath. I have 7 birdbaths and the birds sure are lovin them. We try to fill them up twice a day. Gives them a cool place to land.

I love your garden sweetie. So beautiful, and peaceful. When you can, stop by and read my Pink Saturday post. You might just love it this week.

Many hugs and so much love, Sherry
