I live in a small town...

grain elevator...
busy on a late Sunday afternoon taking in beans...
our grade school...
it also has the junior high classes in it...
the lunch room for all grades...
ag classes in the back...
maple turning on the square...
leaves on the edge of the brick street...
White House cafe with pink roses in front...
they are closed on Sundays...
old tractor on the edge of town...
the rest are field and sky shots as we drove a country block...
the clouds were ever changing as the skies were trying to clear after a very cloudy day...
there are a few beans left here and there...
these clouds were the best ones...
big heavy ones on the bottom...
light fluffy ones above...
it's after 8 am this morning and it's 42 out...
yep, it's fall...
we still haven't had our first frost yet...
but it's surely coming...
we had a really good weekend...
it seemed really short with my DH only off one day...
but that will soon come to pass also...
and another harvest under our belts...
and here we are...
another Monday morning...
and everyone is gone and the quietness is so welcome this morning...
after a weekend of football and cheering from the peanut gallery...
I love my guys...
but one of these days they are going to melt down the TV...
so here I sit...
and the TV...
in a well deserved rest from the chaos of Sunday afternoon football...
I hope you are having a peaceful morning...

Love your pictures! Yes! Monday is so peaceful after the crazy weekend. It's a little time I have to catch up and visit around. Thanks for your visits and feedback.

Tete- I love my Monday mornings too...when all the kids are off to school-or off to work. If I am not working I love to sit and have a cuppa coffee and catch up on my blogs. Our house is full of football fanatics too...I could care less...but I am outnumbered!

Thanks for the tour of your town. I love small towns. There is just something special when you live where everybody knows you by name. I miss that sometimes. Hugs- Diana

You're so lucky to live in a small town, and be surrounded by all of that beauty. It's my dream to retire to a small town in Wisconsin one day. Definitely a totally different way of life up there.
It's about to get crazy here, around the old TV tonight. I'm a Packer fan, and my husband is a Bears fan. It won't be pretty....
