today's playtime...

I did a letter for my dad that needs to go out ASAP!...
I hope he likes it...
I talked to my step mom until midnight last night...
dad loves the VA nursing home!...
he is doing so well there!...
his attitude and behavior are so much better now that they have him on a diabetic diet and his sugar levels must be staying in the proper range now.
they have 12-15 birds behind glass in there that he sits and watches...
dad and my step mom fed humming birds for years on their place and had thousands of them every year...
there were a HB refuge...
and people would come from miles away to watch their birds come and feed...
they went through over a thousand pounds of sugar a year...
so this is a big happy thing for him...
dh and I went for a short ride around town after he took me for a walk...
it's 61 out and very cloudy/ foggy and the wind is a bit chilly...
but it was so nice to get out for a bit...
didn't have my camera to show you what we saw...
but it was fun...
hope you are having a great day!

I am glad your Dad is doing so well in the VA place, Tete. Some people don't adapt well at all to that kind of move. Probably having his sugar levels under control help him tremendously...attitude and all. What a story about the birds...and how nice that he can have birds around him now. I'm sure it is hard on you to see your Dad growing older.

Glad you were able to get out a bit for a tour around town. Hugs- Diana

Hi Tete Sweetie...
So happy to hear good things about your Dad's new home, and thrilled to find that they have birds for him to enjoy. It makes such a difference to keep one's spirit up. I am also happy to hear that someone has him on a good diabetic diet. It sure makes the world of difference in how one feels and acts.

I am tickled to hear that you got out today as well. Your walks are important (while the weather still permits), but those drives are just wonderful.

Hope you are well sweet friend. I have missed my blogging this week, but so enjoyed my precious Momma. I have cried all afternoon. I miss her so much already. I just did not want her to leave me. We will talk soon. Many hugs sweet friend and so much love, Sherry
