Oh, the joy of winter...

it began this afternoon...
it was freezing rain and sleet mix...
it began freezing on the deck...
and the central air unit...
how I wish we were running this now instead of the furnace...
and after a couple of hours...
we had this...
the cars are covered...
but DH made it home...
40 minutes to drive 8 miles...
so while we were waiting on  him...
my idiot brave son...
agreed to get some shots for you...
so that's what we got before it got too dark...
this is just a taste...
tomorrow is the real stuff...
the ice is beautiful, but so dangerous...
I would rather have 20 inches of snow than one inch of ice...
I have Rebecca on speaker phone right now...
she is on her way home and I will talk to her until she gets there safe and sound...
they closed the mall early tonight...
and everything will probably be closed tomorrow and maybe the next day...
I am so used to being in all the time so it won't bother me...
but it will my DH! ...
and others who are used to getting out...
have a good one!

Glad I came home early! I think you have it worse than we do already. Was thinking of Rebecca and glad they closed the mall.

Be safe all of you

Oh..I am dreading it here too. I don't think we will get all the ice though. I hope not. I have to leave for work at 5:15am tomorrow and that will be before we are plowed out. It is about 10 miles but we are out a ways past city limits. I am dreading the long day tomorrow...but it will be okay once I get there and get busy!

I hope your family stays safe and warm and that you don't lose power this time. Hugs- Diana saying a little prayer that your friend, Rebecca, is safe and sound too!

Oh, my! I agree with you Tete, I would much rather have snow than ice! Sure hope you don't lose power, or any trees. Hey, how come there is a bright blue light bulb in your lantern lamp, then a few shots down, it is a clear bulb????? Or are those two different lights?
