Good morning, ladies...

just a few more of Craig's photos from Wednesday...
and an image for you...

don't have any major plans for the day...
I am just glad this week is about over...
and I hope we don't have another one like it...
there are so many limbs that didn't fall from the trees yet...
they are just hanging...
the last really bad ice storm that we had here was in the early part of 1986...
Craig was a baby and we packed and went to town...
my grandparents had a gravity furnace, no blower...
and if the electric was off it still worked...
it was the first and only one I had ever seen like that...
it was old...
and you know they had almost zero dust in the house in the winter...
they did lose power, but not for very long...
and we were stuck there for several days...
it was my 2nd ice storm ever and the only really big one...
I don't ever remember having an ice storm in Ohio...
I remember snow, lots of snow...
and blizzards...
I did find out last night that my son's apartment building has a generator...
so if he loses power, they kick right on, so he won't ever have to worry about heat...
well, I'm off to play bingo...
online...
until you all start waking up...

Good Morning My Friend,
Isn't it amazing how beautiful ice is and yet so destructive...
We went through the Ice storm of like 2007...we were without electricity for a week...some 3 weeks...On the night we finally gave up and rented a generator...20 minutes after Mr. Simply had it hooked up...THE ELECTRICITY CAME ON...That so irritated me because we wasted money...I have never been so cold.
HAVE A SUGAR SWEET DAY
Hugs

I'm so upset about the way my landscape looks with broken limbs, brush, twigs, trees down, etc., I couldn't get myself to take a picture of it all. It is amazing how trees can withstand the pressure of the ice and bend in such ways. Some are more resilient to that than others. I live under a lot of very large and old shade trees who were definitely thinned out naturally with this storm.. :(

Well, your pics are beautiful...
We get massive amounts of snow, but almost never get ice like that.
And the power never goes off...
Ice can do so much damage...
Stay warm... K.

Glad it went well with you all during this storm. Craig is still taking lots of great photos. Hopefully we'll be seeing some spring shots soon. Take care.

Hi Tete....your blog looks wonderful for Valentine's Day!
Man, I can't believe all the ice you guys got! I'd rather have two feet of snow as opposed to all that ice. Jim's been pulling snow off the roof, and plowing for a couple of days. He ran out of space to load anymore snow! What a winter, huh?! WE saw on the news that eight trucks went through the ice on a near-by lake...crazy people!
Hope you have a good day Honey Bunch.
Love ya,

Late morning check in here. Off for a day's work. I have never heard of a heater like that one...and I can remember some terrible ice storms in PA...but we had a wood furnace and lanterns. One time we were iced in for 10 days and had the most snow ever recorded - 1958.

Love all your Valentine images-thanks and your son's pictures are wonderful! He is pretty darned good with that camera. I think you may have created a monster there- lol Hugs-Diana
