just after midnight...

the freezing rain has stopped for now...
we are to get snow tonight...
a mixture tomorrow with up to 8 inches of snow...
and the wind is supposed to pick up...
we have broken limbs already and the lines are encased so much with ice...
pray for us that we do not lose power...
and for everyone in the path of this winter storm...
Craig went out and took these photos...
he heard 3 load cracks of limbs coming down in the distance...
you can see here how much ice is on everything...
we will get more in the morning when the sun is up...
there is a major list of closings for tomorrow already...
remember the emergency personal responding to calls in all of this...
because there will always be someone who thinks they can get out in this...

You are right about emergency workers. They do go out in all kinds of weather and do their job. In NC it was always worse when it was ice instead of snow. Take care.

Yep... your storm is heading my way here in NJ! :( I've had it with this winter! The cricket in your picture looks cold..

I figure we're going to get something bad because my husband brought the generator in the garage.. uh oh.. Plus, the birds were hitting my feeders hard yesterday.. that's always a sign of a bad storm coming. Hope you don't lose power! Keep safe!

Your pictures tells the tell, I've been keeping up with it on the weather channel. It looks like a really bad storm. Chicago up to 2 feet. Oh my!!! Here in good ole Va. The snowy part is missing us but we are suppose to have high winds and rain. It says this storm is effecting 2/3 of the country. I'm at the point I just want to see Spring "SUMMER" and Fall, anything but WINTER...... Take care, stay warm and I'll be thinking of you through all of this. Have a great Day!! No matter what the weather is....
