this is how the morning started...
we only got a drizzle last night...
so we were thinking the day would end up a little wetter...
wrong...
maple leaves emerging...
peonies...
dianthus...
from last year...
blooming already...
lily of the valley...
my mother in law's...
so since the dianthus were blooming in the ground...
I thought I had better get the leaves out of here...
tulip...
azalea...
it comes in in a blaze and goes out in a blaze...
in between the leaves will turn green and it will have tiny pink flowers...
and it is so pretty now...
and adds color until everything else begins to bloom...
Mr Wiggles hung with us today...
you will see more of him later on...
these are the only leaves that I have on my lilac so far...
roses...
columbine that wasn't planted there...
birds ate the seed from another bed and then sat in the tree above and pooped out the seeds...
my clematis lives!...
the guys try to take this out every year...
Craig's friend, Tia stopped by...
and we talked while Craig worked...
Craig and I raked and raked and picked up more sticks out of here...
then we all went for a walk...
this is a little tractor...
peonies in a neighbor's yard...
the green is starting to fill in the scenery...
then back home...
because it was nap time...
just got to sleep good and a mower woke me up...
so Craig ran out and moved the swing...
and we put up the child gate that came via Fed Ex this morning...
so the dogs couldn't get off the porch...
a tomorrow project...
and the mowing continued...
mower guy bought 2 new zero radius mowers for this season...
they were done in 15 minutes!
and it looks wonderful, as always...
and I am tired...
I was counting on a rainy do nothing day...
but..
you just have to roll with it...
and when you get a 71 degree day with just a small breeze...
totally perfect day...
you can't just lay around and do nothing inside...
I have no clue where the rain went...
but we have another chance Sunday...
and I am going to just supervise tomorrow...
and let the guys do the muscle part...
that's my plan anyway...
see you tomorrow!

Oh my looks like you have been busy! Your garden buds look ready to produce some lovely goodies! I can't wait to see how it all looks once it blooms. What nice flat yard you have, mine is bumpy and full of rocks....but you must bloom where you are planted.
Hugs,
Olivia
Everything is turning so bright and green. Weather like that sure does make you want to be outside.
Oh good grief! we still have ice on the lake, and little piles of snow on the ground!!! NOTHING is growing here!
Your yard looks wonderful, Tete!
yup, let those guys do the muscle work today...just sit back and watch.
Enjoy the view!
Hugs,
Debbie
Oh Tete Sweetie...
What a beautiful share today. Your garden is beginning to awaken and start to perform for the season. I can't wait to see all of its spectacular beauty. I have wanted a clematis but it doesn't seem to like the desert weather to much. I may try again this year anyway just for grins.
Your lilac bush is going to be beautiful. I can smell the lovely scent already. It has always been one of my favorite and sadly cannot be grown out here in the heat of my yard. To hot.
Love seeing Mr. Wiggles, as he so makes me smile. He is absolutely beautiful.
Hope you have a glorious day sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
P.S. It is raining softly here in the desert today. It has been coming down since about 6am and it is almost 10:30 and it is still coming down. We so needed the free water for the gardens. I love it. I will be sending it your way sweetie. Love ya.
Tete- What a wonderful post. I love all the pictures of your growing things! And you have green! I saw GREEN!!! Your gardens are cleaning up beautifully but I kind of miss the chair in the firepit! lol
We won't mow here for another 5 or 6 weeks yet...and I have to move all my garden beds this year because it is not working out where it is...sigh...and MyHero wants to move my lilac bush that I have carried house-to-house. I have never seen another one like it...I dug it out of an old abandonded area and it has HUGE highly scented lilacs on it...and I don't want to move it until after it blooms-plus I am afraid of killing it- UGH!
I'll tell you where your rain went- I think it is coming here. We are supposed to get several inches tomorrow. That could be not pleasant as our ground still has a lot of deep frost in it. I guess I will have an inside day tomorrow...I am back and forth today-in and out- Kinda matches my brain power- in and out-
Have a wonderful Saturday- xxoo Diana hey- I wish you would take your no-reply thingy off so I could shoot back some smart-mouthed answers to your comments on my blog!!!;>)
