yesterday's drive in the rain...

DH and I took a little drive in the rain just outside of town...
you know how I love the rain...
and I told him that I missed being able to walk in it and drive in it...
so we loaded up the truck and headed out...
and it started out very dark with a slow steady rain...
and the rain even showed up when the flash went off...
but it slowly passed by and began clearing off...
and the little streams are swollen with the spring rains...
but the clouds just got better and better...
the closer to home we got...
and the birds were flying...
and singing again...
and the clouds were pushed along...
water stood in the fields...
the ground is saturated...
but the awesomeness remains...
and as we drove, things had changed since last weekend...
and the farmers are anxious to get started...
but unless they plant rice...
it's going to have to wait just a wee bit longer...
and that was our afternoon...
in the rain...
just us and the camera...

we had our Easter dinner a little bit ago...
so we can have leftovers tomorrow and Monday...
DH is off until Tuesday...
the Cub game is on tv...
and 3 guys are snoring in the living room...
I'm either going outside again...
it's a sunny afternoon after a morning rain...
or I'm heading for my bedroom for a nap...
can't decide on which...
even the animals are zonked out...
I sure hate wasting a sunny day...
but gee...
I might as well join them...
hugs to you...
Hope today is filled with sunshine and everything good...

We are thawing out from a track meet. It snowed and the wind blew and our sweet boy came in 2nd in the 2 mile! I love the rain. It is so much sweeter than icy cold snow! Happy Easter to you and thanks for sharing these gorgeous photos with us. Anne

It rained hard in NJ... If I were home I would have snuggled up on the couch instead of working for sure. But, even with the rain we did pretty darn good... people are anxious to get out and about and dig in their gardens.. :)

Have a wonderful Easter Tete!

Looks like your rain is past too. We're supposed to have a good day weather wise tomorrow. Have a Happy Easter.
