Our trip to Paris...

DH has a birthday coming up...
and it was time to renew his drivers' license, so we stopped here first...
just after 8am...
Craiger in the back seat...
fidgeting...
then we were dropped off at Dollar General while DH went to Kroger...
he came back and picked us up and we headed to the garden section at Walmart...
knock out roses were 1/2 pice at $8...
nope, didn't get one...
not in the budget this week...
and they have rows of petunias left but they are still at $1.78...
they'll come down some more...
their lilies are on my list of future plantings...
and so are the hibiscus...
Craig killed my huge white one...
pulled it thinking it was a weed...
there's a red one in the background...
I need more rose of sharon, too...
just to show you how yucky some of the plants are around here already...
downtown...
it was a very dark morning...
the court house...
the x is where I used to set up for the Honey Bee Festival in the fall...
I always did well here...
going through town...
and back out to the main road that we came in on...
Burger King!
the closest one to us...
we rushed around only to be stopped by a train...
figures?
we also stopped at Rural King on the way out...
and I found these...
they were only $1.07...
cheaper and prettier than Walmart's plants...

I woke up this morning at 4am to lightening and thunder back in the southwest...
and then the sun started coming up...
and the sky was red...
remember the saying- red in morning, sailor's warning?
this is the last we saw of the sun today...
the clouds came in and it's been gray ever since...
not a whole lot of rain like some have gotten...
enough we don't have to water...
made 3 more fence sections...
and DH got french toast for lunch...
I have been down most of the day with a Migraine...
it's been awhile since I have had one...
so it's ok...
hoping it will be gone tomorrow...

We had lots of rain and dark clouds and thunder and lightening here too. I have been trying to catch some good deals on planting too. Enjoy your new plants. Blessings!
