maybe...

I looked at all the caged animals in the shelter...the cast-offs of human society.

I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness, and betrayal. And I was angry.

"God," I said, "this is terrible! Why don't you do something?"

God was silent for a moment, and then He spoke softly, "I have done something," he replied. "I created you."

just maybe you could make room for one more...
giving unconditional love...
smiles...
loyalty...
companionship...
joy...
and unlimited licks...
if we all took just one more home...
the shelters would be empty...

or if you can't do that...
then give 5...
5 minutes to drop off a bag of food, jug of litter, a new bone...
until their families come to get them...

spay and neuter...
God left them in our care...

Oh my goodness, Tete, this is just tugging at my heart. Those faces are enough to bring tears to just about anyones face. I wish that there wasn't a need for shelters. I think I need to start volunteering at one out here. As long as I don't bring them all home:)
hugs to you, my friend!

Tears running down my cheeks, I have 2 that were thrown out, and I have cats galore that are homeless, or were until they showed up here.

This makes me want to cry, Tete. It is so sad to see animals abandonded..just because it is too much work...or too much trouble.

When I lived on the farm in the mountains I can't tell you how many animals got dropped off by our house. We took everyone of them in...xo Diana

Currently we have 6 dogs and 2 cats here. Our oldest daughter has two dogs and they are here "temporairly". J has three dogs and Hannah one. I have a cat and so does Nick! Rose the cat was orphaned when we took her in and Stella was dumped. Our on bought Smokey and Bandit. Markus found Roxie for Hannah! If he had not picked her up that evening she surely would have been a snack for a coyote! Boots was a birthday gift for our middle daughter Rebekah. But he loves me and rarely leaves me. I am not sure what I would do without him. He is beautiful. Noelle found Trek on craigslist. He is epileptic. Half black lab and we are not sure what else! They inherited Layla. Her owner had to give her up due to her size. She is a boxer. But Sheri moved into a smaller place and still bought a second boxer after they adopted Layla! Weird huh? My sis has three kitties she found thru the adoption program at PetsMart. The vet said those poor little guys were neutered before they were ready! How awful! But they are so well loved. She enjoys their company because she lives alone otherwise. This was a beautiful story. Love and Hugs Anne
