well, its drought time on the old prairie...
and the mower guy got a break this week...
we woke up to this guy on Wednesday...
remember the tacky war I talked about with a friend who had moved to Indiana?
guess who's back...
well, Craig and I passed him off to the neighbor's that night and they woke to find him in front of their garage doors...
begonias were scorched a bit yesterday evening...
so this weekend will be move things around again as the days grow hotter...
there's a lot of time spent watering...
but no weeds...
day lilies popped open this week...
bought these this morning off of a friend on facebook...
$5 each and I love them here...
will add to them later...
seriously now...
you won't see this in any home decor or garden magazines...
there should be a section titled how your kids spend their summers and crash your design...
rose moss loves the heat...
and the pansies are still holding their own, but not for long if we don't move them...
what I decided to put out front...
pinks for the table...
seriously, mom...
he took my bed...
I love this bench...
I have used it for so many different things and right now...
its a mini flower bed...
the crops are not doing well...
heed the warning...
if you have extra space, start stocking up...
canned goods, frozen and cereals...
the prices are going to go up again...
its only been raining about once a week at less than 1/10 each time...
its not enough...
we are approaching a critical time for corn and beans in the fields...
well, Bleubelle is on slop...
another couple of weeks and she will be ready to go..
the momma comes out and talks to me...
I can't pet her yet, but she does make it all the way to the living room now...
she spooks easy...
she came and sniffed Bleubelle yesterday afternoon, but Bleubelle hissed at her and she ran from her...
DH has next week off on for vacation and we are going to be working on the southern part of the yard...
should be more to blog about next week...
have a great weekend!

You have created a lot of darling garden vignettes. Those ladders will be put to use, will there be flower pots on them? Your tacky war sounds like wild fun. Who will be next? Ssshh don't tell, they may read your blog.
LOL - love the scene on the porch sleeping quarters...and that kit-kat definitely looks ticked!..rrawwrrr! I love the blooming moss, we had some in Charlotte...miss it now that I see yours. And I love your green bench too. Benches are just a favorite. You are right about the rain. I heard if we don't get enough rain in the next two weeks, the Corn in Iowa will be seriously affected this season, which only ripples out to everybody else...Have a good weekend Tete, and I know you will have fun next week with Hub off!!! Hugs to you. Catch a breeze and sip some cool drinks for me. xoxo
Tete-You have such an eye for gardening and putting things together. Love your Tacky Macky that you passed along. We used to do that with pink flamingos.
Looks like you tired that poor boy out and he fell over in a dead faint...poor cat with no place to sleep now.
We are so dry here, too. We really need rain.
Blessings to you- xo Diana
It's been really hot and dry here, too, Tete. So we've been watering like crazy! The weeds seem to be thriving, go figure! Looks like someone is enjoying your sleeping porch:) Love that bunny, too, how fun!

It's been beautiful here, too, Tete - and after 11 days with not a drop of rain, we finally got a nice one this evening. Praise the Lord! We really needed it.
You have a such a green thumb, girlie! Your flowers always look so healthy!
Don't forget to wake up the son in time for Father's Day tomorrow...! lol!

Love the cat & son in the bed. Your florals are gorgeous Tete. That bench is adorably cute ... so versatile.

Hi! I think the lack of rain is hurting so many of us. I pray for it but know we are not alone. The heat is unbearable and we do what we can to stay cool. No garden for us. Hubby has a bad back and I am waiting to get my left knee scoped! Sigh. Grateful to be alive though. Always looking for a blessing, no matter how small. Have a beautiful week. Hugs Anne
