life on the prairie...

another sunny day...

and another drive...

we went shopping in Arcola...

came back here and headed north to the deli...

and came home through country roads...

just so I could take pictures along the way...

we are not all flat here...

there are rolling little hills around the creeks and rivers...

but the rest of its flat...

beef cattle...

disk and a harrow...

someone's baby...

the camera focused on the barb wire...
bet I couldn't do that again...

and survival is all about the water...

I love this place...

I think, if I were a kid...
that would be the perfect place to go after the chores were done...

fields are just waiting for the next crop to go in...
there is still some time to wait, but it won't be long...
not long at all...

I found a few neat things in Arcola...
and we grabbed a late lunch while we were there...
feeling a bit better today...
maybe heading south tomorrow...
we do have rain coming in, but hoping it holds off until afternoon...
we could do a morning run...

hope you are having a blessed weekend...
and for those of you who have gotten all that snow and blizzard stuff...
I am so sorry...
hope you thaw out soon...
