roses but no sunshine...

these are all knock out roses...

there are 3 bushes in the island...

and they are all blooming now...

its a 60 degree day with wind and some rain...

and the windows are closed with chicken in the oven...
and it feels good...

doesn't smell too bad either...

the corn behind us is already up...
and its full of weeds...

a man and his cat...

cats...
they follow us all over the yard...

Bebe stays with mom...
even had to put a shirt on him today...

;)

Pooder follows us everywhere...
and he stays very close to us...
he helps with the gardening, too...
he is the sickly one, but loves being outside...
and perks right up...
he runs and plays...
but he is so small...

its going to dip down to the lower 40s tonight...
then we will gradually warm back up...

no plans for this weekend...
just being together...
maybe cooking out for the first time...
or maybe just a fire in the south yard...
not sure if Doug will show up or not...
he has a girlfriend now, you know...
;)
have a fun weekend and stay safe...

It sounds lovely at your place, Tete. Our cat follows my husband to the garden and loves to stay around our feet, too. He is 21 years old and a little "scruffy," but seems to be doing all right - nothing major.

Sounds like good week-end plans.

Tete, I love your roses. This year I may have some too. Our roses bushes seem to be healthier. xoxo, Susie

Not out blogging much any more.

I love to see the fields of green cow corn out here in the country. It's one of my favorites things in the summer but this year the farmer's planted some grassy looking stuff instead ....pooh! your roses are so pretty. I must be the only person in the u.s. whose knock out roses aren't that great. They are blooming but pretty spindly looking. They don't look anything like the gorgeous ones I see all around town. Have a cozy sweet and happy Memorial Day weekend Tete.

One thing about your yard, you have a huge variety. I love roses, and most flowers. Did any of your 4 O'Clocks come up?

Oh I remember the days when we had 12 outdoor cats that lived in the shed next to our lake house, Tete. I loved working the yard while they all ran and played around me in the sunshine! :) Your little Pooder is so adorable! Hope that the sun comes out for you this weekend, sweetie! Enjoy!!!
