welcome to fall...

just a real quick post to bring you all up to speed...

picked tomatoes again yesterday morning...

this was the pickings...

our cold front came through with just a tiny bit of rain...

but it got down to 43 last night and hasn't hit 60 yet this morning...

had the windows open yesterday, but closed them right after dark last night...

wore a hoodie sweatshirt and jeans yesterday...

layering this morning...

DH got up and headed for another gallon of paint to work on the deck...

seems he may only have another couple of weekends free before the harvest begins...

it is really starting to change around here...

but still too early to do the fall clean up before winter thing...

and way too early to start decorating for fall or Halloween...
that won't happen here until Oct 1st...
but its coming on fast...
it won't be long...
has anyone started their Christmas shopping yet???
I haven't...
probably should while there are good sales going on...

we have cooler temps here for awhile and a chance of more rain later in the week...
we could sure use some more...
ok, got to go...
got a kitten in the trash can...
;)

All looks peaceful at your slice of Heaven, Tete.
I must admit that Fall is moving Summer out faster than I was ready for here at the lake. It's been a gentle transition, tho.
It seems you were just posting about planting, and cleaning up your gardens for Spring....
Now we are talking about Autumn, and Halloween decorating!
Enjoy your Saturday dear one.

No Christmas presents this year, unless I can come up with something creative. Oh I do buy a few small things throughout the year.

I have been out in the beds this am, seems when the water line was replaced it brought on the grass. We never had grass in the front bed now I am fighting it all the time :( one bed that was self sustaining is a mess!

Those will be a blessing in soups this winter. Your yard looks nicely cleaned up already. I need to pull out some dead flower things and start making nice around here..gaa why wasn't I born rich? LOL. Hope you have agreat weekend. xoxo,Susie

Christmas? I do that shopping the last minute, lol. Just one in a trash can, here, they'd all be.

Love your end of summer pictures here, Tete. I can see changes in your garden and the corn maturing there, too.

I am hanging onto summer yet for a bit, too. Hope hubby gets his painting done before harvest starts. xo Diana
