am I the only one?

maybe I'm a bit odd, but when I find something I like, I know to buy more than one...
especially in clothes, shoes and purses...
because those who design are airheads most of the time and I like what I like...
which isn't much...
so I got another pair of sneakers just like the ones I bought for around the house and out in the yard...
I wonder if that makes me a hoader???
saving them back for hard times when all the shoes available glow in the dark...
does anyone else do this???

the other pair of doves...

friends hanging out...

its all growing so fast...

got more rain last night....

had a thunderstorm move through after midnight...

I count this as leaves...
lilac...
I know they are full fledged yet, but I am still counting them...
the winter was way too long...

look at the knock out rose!
green and new growth...
yippee!

and this morning after the rain, the day lilies are taller than they were yesterday...

the wind was so light that I grabbed my boy and headed out to burn all the sticks that we picked up in the yard the other day...
and he made his lunch out there...
polish sausage on a stick...

been out for a walk, too and eating the rest of my pizza from last night right now...
and I wonder why my keyboard keys stick sometimes...
;)
talked to almost all of my neighbors this morning, too...
Tori had surgery on Wednesday, so went to check on her...
her uncle said it all went fine...
when they amputated her foot, she ended up with a bone spur on the end...
this got really sore when she wore her leg, so she hasn't been able to use it much at all...
so they went in and took the spur off, smoothed it all down...
and then pulled the muscle down and stretched it over the end...
its going to take a bit to heal, but she should be so much more comfortable in her leg now...
and she is still cancer free...
which is awesome!
talked to my neighbor who had her stroke on Jan 18th...
her therapy is helping her regain her hand and leg...
she has a very long way to go, and they said it could take up to two years...
but she is working on it...
its in the 70s and the sun is shining bright today...

we have been invited to Doug's for supper tomorrow night...
and they are cooking...
this is weird, but I have never been invited to eat a meal by one of my kids in their own place...
I usually just show up with food in hand...
isn't that what mom's do?
he's 33 years old and just now inviting us over to eat...
oh, they come here all the time and eat...
I even feed all the friends...
so this is going to be fun for me...

I hope you all have a great weekend ahead of you...
and beware of monkey arms!
;)
Susie left me a comment about having monkey arms after working in the yard and basement...
you know, when your arms weigh 10 tons when you get up the next morning...
I had to laugh at that one...
shoot, I have monkey arms, monkey legs...
I even have monkey boobs and a monkey butt...
that must be why its draggin' all the time...
so when I get into the dr again, I now have the scientific term...
I will be able to explain my problems more clearly...
I have monkey everything today, doc...
can you fix that?
;)
love ya, Susie!

Tete, I am laughing my behind off. You cracked me up. Wait till your Dr. hears what is really wrong with you. LOL. Once my brother took his wife to the race track...a lot of walking involved. He said after they got home, about an hour or so later, there was a knock at the door...it was his wife 's behind. That's how bad it was dragging. :):)
Your yard is shaping up nicely and how about your son fixing lunch right outside today. Maybe your other son will be starting a new trend, feeding you and you won't have to cook. I love that. Blessings dear friend for a great weekend, and thanks for the laughs. xoxo,Susie

You are a busy bee, especially with your "monkey everything". LOL. I like the polish sausage being cooked on the bonfire, and like you, I bought an extra pair of my favorite walking shoes while they still make them!
