I would like for y'all to meet Charlie...

he is very shy...

remember when I said never say never?
well, we adopted Charlie last night...
it was a whirlwind of a day...
that's for sure...

and before I knew it, he was ours...
he is a teacup poodle...
3/4 poodle, 1/4 yorkie...
and he had a very sad start in a puppy mill...
neglected and uncared for...
he is 1 1/2 years old...
and he needs so much work and time to learn  what he needs to know...
but he cuddles and stays right where you put him...
I suspect he was kenneled from birth, but not any more...
he slept with us last night and did very good...
5 others had wanted him...
he has been available since March 25th...
they never last that long and the chance of getting a smaller dog are very slim...
he only weighs 5 lbs...
he is smaller than Bebe was...
he doesn't know what a leash or toys are...
he just needs some time to learn all these new things...
I was instantly approved from doing the bottle feeders...
I had seen his picture listed before Bebe died and thought about checking into him, for a Bebe buddy...
but then went on to do other things...
then his photo came up again yesterday...
Craig was home and I showed him, and he said check into it...
one email later, and a phone call...
another phone call and plans to meet up...
somewhere between 2 and 7, we became parents again...
Craig paid the adoption fee...
I will try to get better photos soon...
he doesn't understand any commands, like come here or anything like that at all...
so this is how I will be spending my days this summer...
discovering who this guy really is...
thank you for every single kind word and prayer for us...
and for loving Bebe like we do...
there will never be another one like him, ever...
but I trust God...
and Charlie needs me...
;)

Tete, I tell you I am not a dog lover, as in having a house full of barking dogs.LOL....But I do believe if people are to own dogs they need to treat them like family. That little dog is pitiful. It's sad he doesn't know anything. This could help you while you are grieving too. You make Charlie a good boy, like you do the cats and he'll be fine. Blessings to all of you , xoxo,Susie

Oh Tete,
How nice of you to adopted Charlie. The poor little sweetheart. How can people be so cruel. Oh I know he will come out of his shyness and sadness. Adore you very soon. He will work in perfect into your home. You both need each other. This is in Gods hands. Amen. I am happy for you both. Keep us posted as your days with him begin.

I love dogs so I have a tear of thankfulness. You wear your heart well Tete. Hugs go your way what you have done.

Welcome home Charlie, you have a wonderful mom who will love you and teach you all you need to know about being a momma's boy.

What a sweet boy Charlie is. I am so glad that you found each other, Tete. It makes me so sad, and angry too, that people can be so cruel to helpless little creatures. Soon he will learn, and know that he can trust you. It'e heartbreaking to think he never even had a toy, let alone love. Til you. I know that you both will help each other heal. Bless you for giving him a forever home, and being the first person who probably ever gave him the love he deserves. I think it was meant to be, and Bebe would approve, I just know it!
