meet Abby...

this is our new foster baby...

she is 6 years old and an austrailian shephed mix...

she is an awesome girl...

they asked us to evaluate her and rehab her for them...

she had had 2 past male owners who abused her...
and she was so afraid of men...

but as you can see...
she isn't anymore...

the staff at the shelter have done an awesome job with her...
and she is thriving...
hoping she finds her forever home soon...
she is good to go as soon as someone asks about her...
providing they pass the application process...

I took these just before supper last night...
we picked her up around 10 on Friday morning...
just a bit over 24 hours and the change is amazing...

just getting her out of the shelter made a big difference...
its like being at the vet 24/7 for them...
so stressful...
they don't understand it all...

if you have a place in your home...
and you don't want an animal full time...
think about fostering...
they just need a safe place to land until their family comes to get them...

have a safe and fun Labor Day weekend...
;)

How sad people can be so cruel to dogs. It is heartbreaking.

Those tow males should be treated same way they treated this dog.

I am glad she has done well in rehab. My son took two dogs from shelter too. Same thing cruelty.

The one lived over his dog years but poor Max only made it 10 years.

Thank you for your story. Sad at first but now a good ending.

I love Abbey! So sad that people can be so cruel to a living thing that brings so much love into our lives. Thank you for being a foster family to those sweet angels! I pray that she finds that loving family that WANTS her to be a big part of their family!

Hi Tete, Happy Labor Day to you.
love Abby's face-she looks just like our Reggie(on my side bar)did-same coloring and face. He did not like children and never learned to play; I believe he was a puppy mill dog.
I know you'll give her all the love she needs-praying for a forever home for her.
Hugs, Noreen
