pumpkin patch time...

they have had a bumper crop this year...
and they are just beautiful...

this is Coffey's Pumpkin Patch located in Ashmore, Il...

I almost forgot to get any photos!
after spending an hour there talking with Judy and catching up...
we loaded up the van and I saw my camera...

so I hoped back out and grabbed some quick shots...
spent sunflowers...

dried gourds from last year...

such cute set ups with vintage things...

they own the antique mall I worked in years ago...

and they farm....
farmers first, though...
and Judy sells the pumpkins while all the guys are in the fields...
she is so funny...
and I do miss seeing her every day...
the grand kids are helping with the picking now, since they have all grown so much through the years...

we came home and unloaded my stash...
and around 4, I got so sick, it wasn't even funny...
took a 2 hour nap and I am holding my own now...
have no idea what it is, but it hit fast and hard...
kept me running for the bathroom for awhile...
so, taking it easy for a few days before I try being super chick again...
I think I might be too old for shopping...
please say it isn't so!
but it sure looks that way...
may just have to shop on line...
;0)
have a good week and I will get photos of the stuff I brought home...

What a beautiful place! That bug happened to me for no reason, I guess it was just my turn, as me and the hubs ate the same thing. Sometimes I wonder if it just my nervous stomach acting up. I love hearing about your day and the guys too. It is really nice that you know so many of your neighbors around town. Pumpkins here are going for $8 a piece so I will only get a couple this year! Have a wonderful day Tete!

What lovely photos--I loved seeing these--they fill my eyes, which is the greatest compliment I can give.

I am so sorry to hear that you are under the weather . . . rest up, and forget the notion that you are too old to shop . . . that's unheard of:) I'm delighted that you took the time to take photos. This pumpkin patch is gorgeous. I love the photo of the old wagon with the three big pumpkins inside; those old rusty bikes are very cool, too. Thanks for sharing.
Now get some rest and feel better real soon.
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)
