she is in the hospital and will be there for a long time...
she has Guillain Barre Syndrome...

Guillain-Barre (gee-YAH-buh-RAY) syndrome is a rare disorder in which your body's immune system attacks your nerves. Weakness and tingling in your extremities are usually the first symptoms.
These sensations can quickly spread, eventually paralyzing your whole body. In its most severe form Guillain-Barre syndrome is a medical emergency. Most people with the condition must be hospitalized to receive treatment.
The exact cause of Guillain-Barre syndrome is unknown. But it is often preceded by an infectious illness such as a respiratory infection or the stomach flu.
There's no known cure for Guillain-Barre syndrome, but several treatments can ease symptoms and reduce the duration of the illness. Most people recover from Guillain-Barre syndrome, though some may experience lingering effects from it, such as weakness, numbness or fatigue.

she is my neighbor's granddaughter...
and she is 3 years old...
I used to babysit her daddy when he was that age...
so, if you could keep in your prayers...
put her on your lists...
and remember the family...
they are pretty scared...
it would be so appreciated...

What an adorable child. So sorry she has contacted this terrible thing. What makes it so bad is we have no control as to what happens to our bodies. It is very difficult to understand why also. Many blessings to this family.
Saying prayers for this sweet little angel. How awful.
One of our friends had this several years ago- it came on overnight and it took him several months to fully recover. He was lucky to not suffer any long term effects. xo Diana

Four months ago, my brother (50 years old) had Guillain Barre. Now he recovered in 90%. He walked again. He spent 21 days at the hospital, 9 of them in Intensive Care. He received 5 dosis of Inmunoglobulina G (an important medicine for save the life of the patient-it cost 25000 dolllars).
I began to pray for her.
Please let us know when she recover.
