I wish the lavender buds stayed for the summer...

our world right now is surrounded by the budding of the red buds, fruit trees and dogwoods...

but these are my favorite by far...

the magnolia's are dropping their petals quickly now...

leaving a pink carpet under them...

and the woods are turning green...

the green starts at the bottom and creeps up through the spring...

but right now, is the prettiest time of spring for me...
and the tulips are just amazing this year...
will get photos of them tomorrow...
maybe...
high winds...
will have to see if they come out...

and today is my dad's birthday...
and my uncle's...
born one year apart, exactly...
and both are on the other side now...
and their family is almost complete...
just one brother remains...
he would have been 80 today...
I can't even imagine my parents being that old...
and uncle Don, 81...
born and raised during the depression...
always grateful for what they had in life...
;0)

Haven't seen any real buds around here, yet. But there are some tree buds, trying to form.

We are having 3 days of gentle rain.

Just wait till the sun comes out again! Then things will POP!!!!

Love lavender, but don't seem to be able to grow any here at the house. Odd, since there are others in the area who have good luck with it.

Good memories of your family. xo
