cloudy day cruisin'...

another building on Main Street...
a friend of ours runs this now...

it housed the newspaper years ago...
then sat empty for a number of years...

not sure what all has been in here from 1910...
a project to do, for sure...

and the next building to it...

all the old awning hardware is still on most of the buildings...
we have old photos of the awnings up and of them down...

the cold front did go through and cool us off...
got down to 58 last night...

had to find a sweater this morning...

these are all up and down the streets around the school...
this one is on the street that runs beside the football field...
there is one for every guy on the team...

its almost time for football to start...
and fall harvest will be right behind it...
I thought it was fitting to show both in one shot...

it was another day of clouds...
awesome clouds...

do you know what that means?
the ears drop when they are ready to pick...
all they have to do is wait for it to all dry out...
its coming soon...
you might want to dig out the fall stuff...

doing brunch here right now...
got feeders to do again and one a little sickly on me..
hand feeding her...

I have a goal of doing just a tiny bit more every day...

without flaring...

the farmers around here will be hauling in on Labor Day...
heard our town elevator is offing half off on drying...
and there will be a few who take them up on it...

I need to get moving here...
have good days where ever you are...
find something good in what you see and do...
give a smile to everyone you meet...
someone just might be having a bad day and need one...
;0)
back later...

Hi Tete, I am playing catch up with friends since I have more time with school started. A belated Happy Birthday, we could have almost celebrated together since my birthday was yesterday. I have enjoyed reading your blog and seeing your pictures. We have had cool weather and had a inch and half of rain in a downpour on Monday. Take care. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend Shirley

Hi Tete, your photos are always incredible my friend. Love the old buildings.
Glad you had some cooler temps. We were only 73 degrees yesterday and it was beautiful but short lived as the weather people are saying back to the upper 90's for the weekend. I'm so ready for fall this year.
We need rain here now. The rains of the spring, are a memory now that we have not had a drop for over 40 days.
Have a nice weekend.
Hugs, cm
