a little fall for you...

took these yesterday on our drive through the country...

as we speak, the kitchen make over is under way...

lots of sanding and dust flying...

Doug is working on the cabinet doors outside...

Craig is picking up paint tonight...

we have 3 walls to do...

so we are doing everything on one wall and then will move onto the next one...

someone lost his head...
(that will be me by the time we get this finished...)

Doug went to work last night and before he could clock in...

they told him he was laid off...

I think he got a week, maybe 10 days in...

so now he has all the time in the world to help until me moves out again...
photos coming soon...

Tete, So sorry to hear about Doug's job. That can be heartbreaking for young people when they are trying to live on their own. Loved your pictures. Looks very much like around here. Corn harvest is full steam ahead. You'll have to show us your kitchen when it is finished. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

I can't read your blog.

Because of the words scrolling over the "brown bar". Which stays there, all the time. Except when pics scroll over it. But I always have to try to read your words, through it.

Obviously, others can. I just can't.

Hugs, Tessa

Great photos, Tete. Can't wait till we see your kitchen. It will be so nice and all fresh for the winter season. Sorry about Doug but it happened for a reason. Hope he is able to collect unemployment from a previous job. xo Diana

I loved your words at Gert's! I think so many put so much emphasis at blogging about the good stuff only and that is never how life is! It is hard. I pray. I am struggling with this Medicare retirement stuff. They are wanting to cut my benefit in half before I even get it and I have nothing, zero, zilch! So I pray until I hear from them. I could always use prayer.
I am sorry about job loss in your family. It happens so often, I will be praying and I know the kitchen remodel will get done but I will be praying. I hope he has applied for the unemployment benefits. It is only 6 months long now so get on that until other work comes along. MY problem was no one wants to hire at my my age! It really steals your joy so I have to trust God, I have no where else to turn. Good luck with all the life bumps in our lives. I will be praying. Hugs, Anne
