the clouds have come...but no rain...

Doofus really enjoyed the sunshine and the wicker chair...so much that he forgot to come in Friday night...we were worried...looked everywhere...checked with the neighbors...nothing...he finally showed up last night about 9pm...hungry...but ok...
the guys got the flower beds raked off...so much is coming up...

and we dug the scarecrows out of the shed...

and a purple crocus opened...

my dad is being naughty...he was so cranky and saying really bad things...

its the stroke...its not like him...

its not easy on my step mom...

they have been together 25 years...

she's not ready for it to be over...but its so hard to live with it like things are now...

she is the greatest step mom...

remember her this week...we need for God to cover each step she takes...

and to ease every bad word from my dad's lips...

his mind is not completely gone...its just so messed up...

and every now and then...he comes out...but not often enough...

this week has been beautiful...

mr wiggles loves tanning...
my step mom called late last night and she and dad are adjusting to him being in the nursing home...

he had a really good first day there...

and she finally got some of the sleep she needed...

I got my new star lights put up yesterday...

the lilac is budding...just look at the green...

and the grass will need mowed before we know it...

the crosses around the yard are aging wonderfully...

and I found a surprise bloomer...

it's not quite time to turn the birdbath yet...we could still get some freezing weather...

and then I found another bunch...and the tulips are up...they will follow the crocus in bloom...

hope your day is sunny and you can soak up some rays...we got rain coming in this weekend...the flowers need watering...

spring fever with a sore throat...

I just had to get the porch cleaned off...and since Craig brought the sick germ home...he graciously volunteered to help...
so we went to work designing the potting bench and how it will look when we permanently put it all together...

I sent him into the flower beds with a pair of scissors to bring back the dead...while I kept watch and tweaked...my favorite thing to do...

then we strolled around the yard and gathered critters and rusty things...bird cages...blocks...

the details in the old door are wonderful bulleyes...

so that's about it for today...just took my cold medicine again and a nap will soon follow...

another sunny day...

not feeling very well today...Craig brought a flu bug home last week and spent most of the night in the bathroom...
didn't feel human again until this afternoon...
so I got my shower...and spent almost an hour in the swing...

watching the cats play...listening to the birds...

letting the sun shine soak in...and then there were these nice gentle breezes every now and then...

it was a wonderful afternoon to recover...

didn't get a lot done on the house work...but it will be there tomorrow...

and so will the swing...

if I'm not quite up to it yet...

wink-wink...
have a wonderfully simple evening...

a little sun goes a long way...

star lights that I found in an ad online and Rebecca picked up for me...they will go around the deck...
she also delivered the "green house"...

the grass is greening up quickly and it won't be long until Jim is back to mow for us...

my new favorite place to sit in the yard...not sure where this will end up going...

windows were opened today for the first time and I had to wear a hoody most of the day...but the fresh air was wonderful...

and just a note about my dad...they are moving him to a nursing home tomorrow...

another curve in his path...its one day at a time now...
