mini shopping spree...

its got to start with grass...
green grass...
you know they have all colors, but that's just not right...
I want green grass...

and then I hit the 97 cent bins again...
and snagged some more play stuff...

I have plenty of card blanks now with what I got last time...

a couple more stamps...
since the others worked really well...
I was totally surprised at the quality...

I got some of these, too...
I think they will be fun...

they had really sold a lot since last week and were down to almost nothing...
I am hoping they start filling those bins again with easter themed items...
bunny stamps and eggs and things...
maybe pretty crosses and easter lilies...

of course on the way home, there was another stop...

and I just had to show you these...
my new bloomers...
not the kind of bloomers I would like to be buying...
but they are fun anyway...
so take a good look...
its the last time you will see them...
I would model them...
but then I would lose my followers...
the good ones, anyway...

so what do you pick up besides toilet paper, tooth paste and hershey bars?

while the weather outside was frightful...

playing inside was quite delightful...
come see...

we had gotten a large loaf of french bread at wally world in a paper bag...
well, that thing went stale quick, so I broke it up and threw it out in the yard yesterday...
and guess who showed up for dinner yesterday?

about half of what we got is gone...
but what was left and the slush froze hard tonight...

if it doesn't all melt today, it will on Sunday...

I still have my faithful friends who come every day...

should have made a snowman...
oh, well...

so I did a couple of quick walks outside and then back in...

tried out my new stamps...

and got the boxes coated with mod podge...
waiting for them to dry before the last and final touches go on...

so I dug out the easter box...
you know the one...

the one that holds all the fun things...

things that go on the tree...

some familiar faces were in that box...

its hard to believe its been a year since we have seen them...

and this little guy came from my bestie...
and I get to use him a lot more this year...

I need to unpluck the tree of the Valentine things...
move it into the living room...
and start all over on it...
should be fun...
and here's a small taste of things to come...

;)
gotta love a bunny with floppy ears...

vintage easter postcard images...

got a few more ready this morning...

these are embossed, hand painted or airbrushed...

I have seen them listed both ways...

every image was found online and then I take them, straighten them...
and I edit each and every one...
to bring out the beauty that was once there...

how they would have looked before time took it away...

even the borders are added...
these are my favorite to collect and I have several of my own...
but you have already seen them...

and then I decided to see what these embossed ones looked like in sepia tones...

how they would have started out before they were hand painted...

the hand painted varies so much from card to card...
there were good painters and bad painters...

these postcards, from the dates I have seen on them...
range from 1890s to 1910s...

so much detail work in some of them...

so, take what you want and use them this easter...
I still have more to post, so if these are not to your liking...
check back in later...

we are thawing out and its slushy out there...
beats the ice...
;)
be safe today

the worst is over...

we got a little of everything last night...

4 inches of snow, sleet and ice...
but its up to 33 already and the sun's not up yet...
so we should melt pretty quickly...
sorry to those who got a foot or more of the snow...
or more ice...
this storm really hit some areas so hard...
we got just a taste of it, and glad its through here...

have a good day and hope everyone gets dug out...
or just hunker down and stay put today...
hugs

it came...

it start in with sleet and snow mid afternoon...

across the field...

it didn't take long...

and within a couple of hours we had 4 inches of that...

and then freezing rain on top of that...

must have caught the birds off guard...

they scrambled to the feeder as it began to hit...

an hour later...

Pooder getting some Daphne love...
Daphne doesn't like anyone...
but she will tolerate Pooder briefly...
only because he is submissive and shows zero aggression toward her...
he got about 3 minutes of one on one this morning...
and then she got up and left him there...

the ice is on the trees and power lines...
winds are high...
but the radar just showed that it should be done...
so hopefully, the power lines will stay were they should...

;)
