babies...

thought that would get your attention...

so here they are...

there are 5 of them in this litter...

and their eyes are starting to open...

its still about eating and sleeping right now...

but very soon, it will be about swatting and pouncing...

rescue called yesterday morning and I got in a new one...

4 week old baby boy and he is already adopted...

Wednesday's pics...

Baby Katie went to her new home yesterday morning...

a disabled man needed a buddy...

and it was love at first sight...

then the sun warmed up the outside...

and I got out a bit...

to find that things have been moving right along out there without me...

the lilacs are doing really well for all those really cold nights we had...

all the other flowers are coming along, too...

pops of color here and there...

peonies are up and about...

filling in...

even these guys are going nuts...

the yard is full of them...

did you know that these keep the bees alive while waiting for the other flowers to bloom?

more color...

and more here...

and that's only checking flower beds...

we did mostly inside work...

but I still got in some playtime on the deck...

and even got to sit out there awhile...

in the sun...

in a tank top...

and its only going to keep warming up!

our local golf course had visitors...

we went for a drive the other night and just caught these 2 out of the corner of my eye...

we had already passed and I didn't want DH to back up...

so these are the best I could do from that distance...

they were playful and having a really good time...

it was very nippy out that day, too...

but the wind was still and water photos were amazing...

we used to play this course almost every morning after the kids were off to school...

and with Craig between us before that...

we still have our clubs...

I can never play again...

but I might just take a ride around the holes sometime this year...

with my camera...

FINALLY!

the temps are going up and the rain is no where in sight...

its time to get some garden time in...

(Craig was looking at greenhouses online yesterday)

he wants to put one in...

our yard...

it started out as any normal morning...

my friend and I were doing breakfast at the local eatery...

but that soon changed when a burgler slipped in unnoticed...

totally sending everyone scrambling for cover...

I watched from a safe distance...

as this desperado began his assault on the goods...

I reached in my feathers...

good thing I had my cell phone in there...

I immediately dialed 911...

"Hello, 911?  I would like to report a burglary in progress."

they dispatched Officer Craig to the scene...

and he quickly chased the bad guys away...

this is being used in the wanted poster that they are circulating around our area...

if you have any information regarding the whereabouts of our burgler or his accomplices...

please alert the local authorities...

* UPDATE *

steps have been taken to ensure that this does not happen again...

the S hook has been booby trapped and seems to be working just fine..

the all you can eat buffet is open and back in business...

the culprits are still at large...

but can be so mean and territorial...

but the high was only 40...
