DH just spent 3 days on jury duty...

it was a sex offense against a minor...

the man was convicted...

the child was mentally challenged...

my sweetie came home and cried...

he couldn't talk about it before the trial was over...

all I knew was that it was bothering him a lot...

how can people do that to children?

he wanted to know...

the lack of God...

was my only answer...

please remember this child, the family, and the man convicted in your prayers...

only God knows what they all need...

we have had a beautiful sunny day here...

and it warmed up enough to venture out with a hoodie...

the days are so short and getting shorter every day...

I can do fall a lot better with a sweater on...

morning...

we got a tad of rain last night in a thunderstorm...

and every little bit helps around here...

things are still turning and this will be my last mum to bloom...

rose of sharon has a few blooms left...

we are supposed to get down to 39 tonight...

92 yesterday for a high...

from a/c to heat...

corn...

too wet to rustle this morning...

here is an ear that's only about a quarter the length...

and that's not good...

DH is on jury duty this week...

and he had to show up yesterday...

and they picked him...

so the trial started yesterday afternoon...

and he doesn't have to go back until 1:00 today...

but they think they can tie it all up by tomorrow...

he said he would rather be at work...

but it's been nice having him home this morning...

made chicken and noodles this morning...

smells great in here...

most of the housework is already done...

got up and got to it...

may need a nap soon...

88 and the sedum is in bloom...

and she gathers in her arms so many...

working side by side...

knowing there is enough for all...

we have never had so many bees in our yard at one time...

they are fewer in numbers than they were when I was a kid...

they say cell phones mess up their radar and they cannot find their way back to the hive...

so they fly aimlessly until they die...

we are going to have a lot to clean up soon...

might as well wait until they all come down...
