busy kind of day...

well, for some of us anyway...

Doug got here at the crack of dawn...

woke me up and I told him I had been up with the storms that had come through and I needed a couple more hours of sleep...

so DH got up with him...

then I could not get moving at all...

so Doug went shopping with his dad today...

and Craig got me going again...

and we walked outside and did PT inside...

and just look at all the amazing things going on here...

bee...

neighbor's yard...

but mine is just a yellow...

Boofy and  Mr Wiggles playing king of the steps...

these old elm trees make me happy...

and I hope who ever buys these lots...

has the sense to keep them...

trees are getting their leaves...

and the neighbor's lilacs are wonderful...

they were supposed to be yellow...

took 7 years for them to bloom...

and they're not yellow...

she's not happy...

maple leaves...

this is going out there somewhere soon...

from last year...

ok, here's your April Fool's joke...

you asked for it and now you're sorry you did...

Craig and I laid out in the grass for a bit...

and look at what happened...

the breeze was blowing and the sun was shining...

and the dog was  doing his best to kill the dandy lions...

and when the guys got back they brought back Burger King...

me and my boy had whoppers..

yep...

we did...

the other 2 did cheese burgers and fish...

yeah...

that's what Doug wanted for his birthday meal...

so that's what we did...

and we got him a new digital camera...

and he was thrilled...

it even came with the battery charger...

and batteries...

so he is already to go...

I have got an ear ache and sore throat, so Tuesday I am calling for an appointment with my favorite doctor...

I think I need antibiotics again...

this weather is so good about that...

especially when dingy people leave the windows open at night when its supposed to be in the 40s...

duh...

gardening 101 with this crazy spring...

find all the long sleeved clothes you own and put them on...

47 here this morning while we were out...

wind chill of 44...

make sure you have your wool gloves on...

that is important...

buy a new nozzle from the hardware store if your old one got killed during the winter...

and then water all your spring plants if all the rains have missed you...

south of us yesterday, they got dumped on...

they also had mothball sized hail for about 10 minutes...

maybe watering isn't such a bad thing after all...

want the blooms to keep happening...

don't forget the little guys...

and the ones hiding...

awesome!

ok, so its 47 now...

warmer tomorrow...

and then 90 on Monday?

no wonder I have my kleenex box handy at all times...

sedum is growing...

and  my new spade...

to go along with the nozzle...

guys are hard on things, aren't they?

well the furnace is back on...

even with it chilly today, this is our warmest March on record now...

and its almost done...

now onto April...

Doug's birthday is tomorrow...

31 freakin' years old...

can't be so...

I was just 31...

wasn't I ?

the best thing about getting older is being a little senile...

I like my own little perfect world...

when things start malfunctioning...

my motto is to fight back...

and build your own empire!

Craig got up sick this morning...

I wasn't so good yesterday and last night...

so we are not doing anything that doesn't have to be done...

he is on the couch asleep right now...

we are doing the all you can eat fish tonight...

but DH may have to be the one to run up and get it...

well, there's a couple of hours to kill before DH gets home...

so I'll be looking in to see what you are up to and harass a few...

got a few things done today...

plucked my eye brows...

and the chin hairs...

shaved the upper lip...

cause I'm a wimp...

trimmed my hair...

shower, blow dry and a few walks in...

could use some prayers for DH...

he went to give blood yesterday and his BP was too high...

so they rejected him...

never happened to him before and he gives all the time...

and he blew his stack at work today...

I think its the BP making him cranky...

need prayers and a way to get him to see the doctor...

I think he needs BP meds...

been running a little high for years...

and he has many of the symptoms now...

the guys are watching tv, which its MY night...

so, I'm going to hop in the shower while they are busy...
